Tender tendons Teixeira to the DL. Austin Romine called up. Kelly Johnson, your new Yankees first baseman, hold the applause if you can.
On the bright side, Yangervis Solarte is your new starting thirdbasesman.

This is also Michael Pineda's Yankee debut....good luck kid!

I had a feeling it would be either Romine or Almonte..........................GO YANKEES!

Tex will be about as useful this season as he was last season. I would almost bet money that when he gets back from the hamstring he does something to the wrist again within a couple of weeks.

And for the record, I apologize...you were right. You called it about Tex, and this isn't intermural softball where anyone can play first. We need an experienced glove and a stick with pop for that position.

Pulls a hammy fielding a foul ball. Give me a friggin break.

You'd think they would have warm up and other stretching routines specifically designed for when they play on turf.

Anyone else seeing the ad banner: Browse 10000 Single Asian Women Profiles ?

OK, fess up you old farts, how many of you clicked on the yellow fever link? Lol!

hope pineda throws a 3 hit shutout.... this kid is key!

go yanks

There's 1 of your 3 hits. Fucking Melky.

Nice K on Rasmus. 20 pitch innings aren't gonna cut it though.

I've dated several Asian women. Very nice experiences. But I digress, Yes we need a good game from Pineda.

0-6 against Cy Dickey, one ball made it out of the infield.

Anyone notice that only the Yanks and KC are the only teams in MLB w/o a HR?

I have felt that for the last few years that the team was attributing to many injuries to age, not routine. When we hired a new strength and conditioning coach this spring, I was hopeful of a change in culture. Maybe some players feel they don't have to stretch...

I hate to sound petty but I swear someday someone is going to have to explain the slightly askewed hat look to me. I just don't get it. And if its some kind of fashion statement all its saying to me is that you have trouble locating the middle of your head. I was glad to see that someone FINALLY showed CC how to cap. Sorry it just bugs me.

BTW: did I mention that I hate knuckle ballers?

This game is quickly becoming a snooze-fest.

I know I promised not to get on Girardi to much this year but......Holy monkey-nuts batman why the hell would you take out Pineda after only 83 pitches with the way he was pitching? I think the first thing you have to ask yourself is...."Is there anyone in that bull pen that can pitch better then what Pineda is doing so far?" And CLEARLY the answer would be no. So why.....Oh the hell with it.

The so called big bats have killed the Yankees this game. Two times with first and second and nobody out where Beltran and McCann fail.

Soprano is lost. Completely ridiculous.

And now 2nd & 3rd with two out & Soriano swings at strike 3 in the dirt. 5 games & no team HRs yet.

lol Melky Cabrera. Time to turn this shit off.

Thanks Batista for pissing me off right before I turn off the television.
