The whole thing is pretty lame (beginning with the lame-ass banner Hawks' fans had flown over Candlestick Park). But I don't blame 49ers' fans for coming back. It is pretty annoying to have a franchise of never-has-beens constantly barking on your door, trying to act like they've done something when they really haven't.

They're not unlike L*ker fans who do the same shit. Fuck them all!

It's a bit funny to me--I mean, we have posters here that weren't alive for the last 49er win. Sure, Seahawks have never had a player like Montana, (we did have 42y/o Rice :) ), but are a better team right now.

There's people younger than 19 on here?

I started on O-Live when I was 15, so I'm sure there are some young'ns

I was about that age too, i remember sitting in English class on laptops looking at it. I had a Laker fan friend that trolled it.

Not better by much. And the Niners have been the better team the previous two seasons, and have a highly-respected, rich tradition.

That's like me saying the Blazers are better than San Antonio, LA, Houston..... It's good to have a better record, but doesn't mean the other team couldn't take you out in a second.

if your friend was LakerLanny I swear to all that is Holy....

It's too bad the NBA doesn't have any rivalries like this.

Niners got the new stadium coming, gonna be a huge revenue boost.

I agree that harkening back to 95 (the last win) is kinda silly, but the niners were in the NFC championship game 2 years ago, and the SB last year. So currently they have more juice as well IMO.

Prove it in the playoffs seadderal, bunch a paper champions over there

Let's be fair... what do they have up there? The Sonics left them. The Mariners are horrible. The Huskies are garbage. What else do they have going for them?

Reminds me of Husky fans who talk about their mythical half championship in 1991 after yet another asskicking by Oregon on the Doogs.

Except the Niners went to the Superbowl last year, and the NFC championship the year before. When was the last time the Fuskies even won the PAC12?

Also, I think five championships is a little different than a single half-championship.

I have no dog in this fight (Other than I loathe the city of Seattle) But I do find it funny when a 20 year old Laker fan talks trash about a bunch of titles won before they were born.

So the 5 Trophies, where the most recent is almost 20 years old doesnt mean much now. But San Fran IMO has had more going for them recently with the Super Bowl appearance.

But at the same time I'm reminded of a Durant tweet a couple years ago that said "Man if someone is talking about last year, you know they are whooping your ass"

Series is tied 1-1 so I don't know about that...

I can give a bunch of reasons why, but I'm not going to waste my time.

A bunch reasons why one was lopsided? Serious question on that part, not sure what you were getting at.

Well, the game at Candlestick was extremely physical and Seattle was able to get away with a ton of shit. There was one obvious pass interference call that was missed in the end zone. Even a lot of Sea Hawks fans admit that their secondary gets away with a lot of shit.

I'm of the opinion that Seattle's stadium is an unfair advantage. I'm all for loud fans, but when the stadium is built to amplify the fans to the point where the other team can't hear themselves, I consider that cheating. It's not that much different than pumping in crowd noise through the loud speakers.

This is the one I'm talking about.

Well we could look at that or we could also look on the game breaking gore run how Sherman was held right in front of ref and no call and that one cost us the game.

The rivalry between the teams is good for NFL and fans.

I love a good rivalry, but a true rivalry is made in the playoffs. Not during the regular season. The Niners' best rivals were the Cowboys and Packers. Those were settled in the NFC championship.

gotcha thanks.

Stadium stuff doesnt bother me too much I guess. Autzen is "make your ears bleed" loud because its built in the side of a hill. And its design keeps the noise in. I think the RG was built to amplify sound as well.. or at least I thought.
