Casey Holdahl and I were talking and we've come up with what we hope is a fun idea for everyone here at RipCityTwo.

5 Questions!

Each week is going to feature a different player that we get to submit questions to. Casey will ask the questions and we'll post the answers here. They can be fun, serious or random. Just don't make them too strange.

Post your questions here in this thread and we'll pick the best 5 to ask this week's player.

Now this is going to require some of you to put some thought into this so we thought we'd start off with a couple of our bench players before we turn you loose on the starters.

This week's player is Joel Freeland.

I'll submit the best questions to Casey to ask Freeland on Wednesday.

So Don't DON'T ask weird questions? Hmmm...

Question: How does it feel to be a part of a solid rotation after all the hard work you've put in?

Sweet!

Free: Was your dad really a boxer (street-fighter)? What impact did he have on your life?

Question: Does he like the city of Portland? Favorite thing about Ptd and least favorite thing?

Sidenote: Freeland was at Washington Square yesterday and took the time out to take a picture with my friend's daughter.

we know Brits are infamous for their boring food, but what is your favorite home cooked meal? Anywhere in Portland to get a fix?

Also I'm going to give Casey more than just 5 questions just in case the players are in the mood to answer more.

That's cool. Met him at a Timbers game before the season started, really nice and friendly guy. Got a picture as well.

Who has more attractive ladies, America or England?

Who was the toughest defensive assignment you've had?

Last year I saw joel and a woman go to Joes Burger in downtown haha.

Remember, no weird questions.

Who hits harder, Andrew Bogut or your sister?

Who's the biggest trash talker you've played against?

Who's Britain's next NBA player?

Who's the best player he faced when playing in Spain who's never played in the NBA?

Question number 1 Do you like fish sticks?
Since he is British and will obviously say yes
Question number 2 Do you like putting fish sticks in your mouth?
Yes again
Question 3 What are you a gay fish?

We've seen you paired with Meyers Leonard a few times quite effectively. Do you see the coach gaining confidence in the twin towers approach?

I think you meant the twin crackers approach

My British in-laws say The TARDIS Room on North Killingsworth has the best fish and chips they've ever had in the States. Have you been there, and are they right?

Can you find a good cup of tea in Portland?
Is Rugby really better than American Football?
Does Portland's weather resemble London in any way, shape or form
Are the local stouts able to compare to Guiness on any level?
Arsenal or Manchester United?
Can you actually understand or speak Cockney English fluently?

I'm a huge Blazers fan who is moving to Kent, not far from Surrey where you were born. Recommend a pub?

Your ability to go straight up on defense has been remarkable this season, do you feel like part of your success has been earning the refs respect on that or are you just THAT fundamentally sound that there is no way they can blow the whistle?

In a similar vein, NBA fans bellyache about the refereeing constantly. How do the refs from the ACB compare with those in the NBA? Is there any aspect of NBA officiating you wish were more like Europe?
