Im assuming you guys heard about it. I keep hearing it from my friends saying it might be the end, and some are staying home from school that day becuase they are scared etc. Some say a huge tsunami will wipe us out. I personally think this whole thing is bull because, nothing happened on June 6 1906 (6/6/06) so I doubt anything will happen now. Just a theory. Your thoughts?

I doubt it as well, if you read the Bible it says we will not anticipate the end(depending on your beliefs) I happen to be a Christian so thats just my view.

I know for a fact that's fake. Because it was "supposedly" going to happen on May 25th because a 200+ ft fragment of a comet was supposed to hit the atlantic and cause this huge end all tsunami..but in actually the closest fragment was more than 6,000,000 miles away from Earth.


It's just a excerpt from the Bible that was taken and blown up to make it sound like it's real. They're releasing The Omen just to captalize on all the superstitions that's revolving around on the day. So many people will be scared and it'll just turn out to be any normal day. It's just religious beliefs, they're not really real.

dude, im supposed to go to knotts for the end of the year thing on 6-6-06. and hells yes! im going. IMO, its just going to be another regular day in history. just like 6-6-66. nothing happened on that day, and nothing will happen on this day. trust me

Yep. You can't imagine how many times people start these crazy hallucinations around times like these. Like around 2000(think we all remember that.) and there was even a "5-5-05" day. It's all superstition..just cause it's religious doesn't mean it's automatically true. Nothing will happen, and people will be scared for nothing. Then there's probably going to be a 7-7-07 day then probably an 8-8-08 day and so on..they're gonna pop up every year.

), 3-3-03, 4-4-04, 5-5-05. So i doubt 6-6-06 will be any different.

It's not just the fact that a buncha of identical numbers lined up at the same time... that's just stupid. 666 is a biblical reference to the devil.

Anyone who thinks the day has any significance is beyond help though...

also, i saw on tv, there are these things called "bible codes" in the bible. and there are combinations of letters on different pages that come together to form words. scientists have found out a way to see the codes, and it has predicted things like the assassination of JFK, world trade centers, and hitler. they also found a code that says that 2012 will be the end.

well, i dont know. take it for what its worth, i guess. i saw a show about this on the history channel, and it looked pretty real to me since there were all these professors and such talking about it. but your right, it may be phony

Yeah. From what I've been reading just now, the "end" isn't really the "end" as it's made out to be. There will be great changes in land masses, the economy, etc. But it's just begins the start of what could be a great leap in civilization and living overall.

Btw, Professors/Scientists will ALWAYS look at the worst case scenario when it comes to weird situations like these, and it's been like that for as long as I can remember. Remember the whole Y2K thing? They were talking about the worst case scenario, and what happened? Not a damn thing.

The bible code is total bs. People have done the same things with Moby Dick and a bunch of other books of similar length. All they do is try to MAKE words come together by using some kind of mathematical code. Worst of all they use english bibles which all have different words and ways things are said from edition to edition. It is completely made up. The bible was written in Hebrew not English, why would they code translate to English? it just doesn''t make sense. And i also saw that show on the History channel.

its ok. more than likely nothing will happen in 2012. like most said, the codes are probably BS. if you take any book with that amount of length, im pretty sure you will stumble across tons of different codes. but its still interesting if you think about it

The bible code is a whole bunch of junk in my opinon. They just look through all this stuff in the bible, and then they see that theyres letters in there, saying "9-11-01" (jumbled up throughout it though) and turn it into something superstitious to sell on TV. See this is basically what it is:

this should probably be moved to the religion section, but anyways, in the bible, it says that the world will come to an end once the garden of eden (or maybe it wasnt the garden, but some other sacred place) is destroyed. well, that has most likely happened since everywhere in iraq is basically destroyed, and that special area is located somewhere around iraq

Obviously I'm not an expert in Christianity, but I've always seen the Bible as more of an allegory. There's some profound wisdom that you can find in it though, if you aren't so adamant about everything being a literal truth.

Obviously there are the dumbasses in every religion. Maybe its just because I like like right next door to a Mormon church that I see the fundamentalist side of Christianity more often.
