and I must say, Im amazed at what I can do pain free. I can do anything but jog and I think I could do that if I wanted. The first few months were at time challenging with mostly muscular pain as they need to fire again and communicate with your brain. I should have probably done it a few years ago as there were days I could hardly walk. My right knee gives me grief now.

Just found out today I get my right knee done November 4th and hope to be moving around real good come early spring.

Awesome news!!!

not sure...i did sign something that allowed them to use it and they could not sell it.
Bro you should of saved it and put it in a big glass jar full of fluid and shine a light on it. Put it on some sort of spinning platform and keep it on the mantle above the fireplace!

I wish I had thought of that. Maybe my right knee?
Kind a like a life trophy or notches on the belt. That knee covered a whole lot of territory as a million mile flyer. It also, served me well playing sports well into my late 40's early 50's.
I spent many a day & night on those knees too and I was'nt saying the Lord's Prayer. Thats probably why my knees went to hell..

I need a knee replacement but my doctors ruled it out because of other medical complications. Every once in a while it just goes out of joint and then I'm in excruciating pain. Then it's a week or more recovering.
Which reminds me, thank you for reminding me of the terrific pain in my knee I face at random intervals.

Sorry Lanny!

Man, I hope you mend quick! I know from experience those hernia operations can be painful for a while.
That Oxy is for sure weird stuff!

I'm allergic to oxycontin and all the rest of the related pain killers. I can only take Tylenol, fentanyl, morphine and lidocaine. Which means that when I have surgery, I have to power through the immediate after and throughout the healing. It's a real bitch when they do their frequent arm surgery. God, how I dread that arm surgery. The keep me awake during that damned arm surgery as they did when I had about four eye surgeries and two heart ablation surgeries. One of the heart surgeries hurt like hell and I couldn't move a muscle to indicate my pain and one of the eye surgeries went very badly and painfully lasting about an hour and leaving me blind in that eye.

Pardon me while I puke.
I suppose you think I should have kept my cancerous thyroid gland when it was cut out and placed it in a glass jar rotating on a spindle with a light shining on it above the fireplace.

The surgery cost me $75 with my Providence Medicare Advantage Plan.
Medicare? Are you that old? I'm not voting for you as President. Damn, and here I thought you were near a perfect candidate.

No, I want the bright, shiny new knee.
Man Lanny I wish you could get one, have you gotten other opinions?
Sometimes things just don't seem fair in this journey of life.

I have a artificial right eye, had it for 47 years.
When I played in a pool league and had to take a leak, id take my eye out and put it on the table rail and tell em Im going to keep an eye out for you nimrods! Ill be back.
When i lost it the doc's had me play lots of ping pong for depth perception which helped.
It never handicapped me at all and I went on to play city league sports at a very competitive level till my early 50's.

Perfectly in the middle never on the fringe one way or the other.

I only get the opinion of the VA. That and Medicare are my only medical coverage. I've got dialysis three times a week and they say I wouldn't stand up to dialysis during my intial recovery. I did get two opinions at the VA.

I had my left knee replaced 12 days ago and still can't bear much weight or have any ROM (65 degrees). I hope this gets better. My pt is torture. I leave convulsing in pain.
