Not necessarily an NBA draft thread but whatever crazy stuff Rice, MB and Antonio say, and whatever Wheels says on their draft coverage show.

I'm going to be listening to them through the whole day now, while watching it on TV.

Let's go!

Wheels confirming the Sergio trade.. even sending cash to Sacramento.

They expect Rubio to be taken No. 3 to OKC. And Rice says Harden is going to slip..

Man... one would have thought the 38 and cash would have been enough to get the 31... Sergio's essentially a $0 commodity in that trade.

I'm in the bay area. Can you keep us updated with what they are saying since they break the Blazer news before other networks. Thanks!

No problem.. Antonio's talking so there really is nothing to be reported from their end. They're talking about the Amare trade and potential trades.

its not like other teams dont have film on sergio..who would want him

They say Blair's stock is falling in the draft because of his knees.

Dwight Jaynes joins the crew, and thinks the Blazers won't draft someone they need at No. 22. It's going to be traded. FWIW..

Rice said package all our picks, move up to pick Tyler Hansbrough.

I'm at work so cant stream.. has the actualy draft started or is that at 5?

Pretty sure it's at 5. No news yet on actual picks.

I'm danged lucky to be able to stream at my desk.

Yeah, I'm an idiot. At work. Was temporarily distracted by work and I missed that it started. My priorities were effed up but my head is on straight now.

KP says felt they had a good handle of some things. They always have a pre-dinner before everyone comes in, and everything that happened, they thought would happen.

No audible calling.

Claver is someone they targeted for a long time, 6-10 athletic swing guy. high talent guy. they thought he would go really high in the draft.

- Pendergraph and Cunningham bring toughness which they needed in the playoffs. They're not sure if they can do it, but they're going to give them a chance.

- Patty Mills' experience with Australian team is a factor in them trading for him. Tough kid, really quick north and south, and can shoot. For a 55th pick, he's got a chance.

- Victor staying overseas for a couple years. No timetable. He might make the Spanish national team. He was the last cut in the last Olympics.

- Pendergraph and Cunningham in their workout here, was in the war. They need to bring that to the team, who aren't scared of playing.

- Mills has a chance and wants him on the summer league team.

- They do feel like they helped themselves in the draft, Nate does a great job of developing.
- With Cunningham and Pendergraph four-year guys, they feel they can come right in.
- Sergio is a great kid, appreciate everything he's done. But they felt like it was Sergio's time. He struggled with his role, no doubt. They never faulted Sergio for wanting to play more
- They had convos with Sergio at the end of the year and felt it was just the time to get rid of him.

- They expect Victor over in a couple years, no summer league. And no time table on his coming over.
- Nate: Sergio wanted a larger role. He put him in a situation to help them, thought he did some good things. They wanted a spread offense and let him create, and did a good job spelling Blake.
Sergio wanted a larger role on this team but it just wasnt possible.
- Sergio wanted an opportunity to be moved to get a larger role. Jerryd will slide in and they will give him a ton of minutes at PG in summer league, and develop him for the season.

KP:
- Draft wasn't as important as in the past to move up.
- They moved up to get Victor because they heard things that he was going to go in that area. Claver was the man they wanted.
- He fits into the Rudy/Nicolas type player.
- They feel lucky to get Mills at 55. He'll come in and compete, and had success in Olympics. Broke his hand.
- Nate knows Mills and had a ton of input on getting Mills.

Nate:
- Draft scouts do a great job. Last night they went into their meeting and targeted certain guys and it went the way they wanted to.
- Pendergraph was available and they felt he fills the need. He played with Nate's son, will come in and work hard
- Draft was about taking the best talent that they drafted at, and felt they did that.

- Free agents want to play with Brandon, LA and Greg.
- If the right situation is there, they'll pull the trigger.
- They feel very comfortable with their doctors, and how they evaluated the draft prospects.
