95.5 The Game - Wheels at Work

Kermit Washington needs to be back on the air. His show was awesome with Mycheal Thompson was awesome.

The original "Big Show" was great. I can't believe they kept calling it that after both Mychal and Kermit left. 1080 went SO downhill after that. Nobody at that station knows shit about basketball - in a town where our only professional team is a BASKETBALL team. Mychal and Kermit both know NBA basketball and have connections around the league - and they were funny.

Ah... the good old days.

Best of luck to Wheels. I probably won't get to tune in often due to my work schedule, but I wish him well. He deserves it.

lived in LA for three months last year and that was the only show on any sports talk worth listening to. MT was made to look a little like a fool though but i guess he brought alot of that on himself. sad that they are no longer, like i said enjoyed listening to them even though that vick the brick guy was possibly the most annoying character in sports talk radio.

MT and Kermit was what got me into sports radio. classic stuff.

Couldnt agree with you more. Vic the Brick would wipe Kobe's ass if Kobe asked. He was over the top optimistic. Cant stand him...he is the reason Im not too bummed about local sports radio gone.

get the picture?

A Michael Holton and Tony Luftman radio show would be ridiculously sick.

Tony: Tell them what they won
Michael: A hoop game

lol

john strong has the 6-7 spot...he was good on canzano so i like it

Anyone remember that douchebag that was on sports radio back in the late 90's early 2000's here in town on 910? He would never shut up about the Raiders. What was his name?

I think his last name was Bucket, or something like that.

What's wrong with Holton? He knows his ball better than anyone else on the broadcast team and is the only non-homer they have. The only problem is Luftman making him do that dumb "Tell them what they've won" joke every three minutes. You can tell Holton is as annoyed by that routine as everybody else is.

I see Holton on ESPN someday myself.

Elbows, you're not the only one. I think Coach Holton is hilarious. He looks and talks like a complete straight laced nerd and then all of a sudden he'll bust out with some Mike Jones rap in a monotone voice. Or he'll talk about his Rock 'em Sock 'em Robot game he had as a kid and relate it to how the Blazers are playing. It's so random, cracks me up everytime.

The "what has he won" thing has been overdone and needs to retire.

Just started 2 minutes ago. I'm really going to enjoy this show. I like a Wheels/Vance team. I like Vance in a sidekick role instead of a main guy role. And I really like Wheels, and am happy to hear more about my Blazers! Man, i'm happy. I really love 95.5.

Just found out they are going to have me on as a guest at 2:30!

Good for Wheelz! I thought they were going to announce the Caron Butler trade! That must be tonight!

Didn't you hear? The Blazers decided to go with LeBron instead... there's been no official statement yet so keep it on the DL for now.
