Who can ever forget these 2...?

Yankee Southpaw Starters: Fritz Peterson and Mike Kekich.

In 73, they traded lives-wives-children and homes. Believing each other’s life would provide greater happiness. It worked for Fritz but not for Mike. Both of their Yankee Careers faded quickly after.

I remember it well Rob. Peterson had some good years with the Yankees.

A bit before my time...

I would like to think I have a lot to look forward to...

Thanks Rick-...!

I think you got a ton of good time to look forward to Steve. With the boys and one on the way, I'd say it's inevitable....

Now being a retired old man, retirement is not all its cracked up to be, UNLESS you can get out and still enjoy the things you used to and always have. A ball game, Fishing, Camping, going to the Beach, Mountains, or whatever you like to do....

I sat out last night late, watching the stars in this dark desert. Thinking as i saw a truck going down the road, pulling a lit up like a Xmas tree Trailer with a racing motorcycle on it. Thinking to myself, shit, 40 years ago, that was what I was doing.

Looking up to the quiet dark San Gabriel Mts. recollecting all the backpacking adventures, hiking, and solo and family trips and weeks we used to spend up there, in the cool thin high elevations. (while the desert cooked in the summer). Thinking how long its been since I've even been up there, 17 years now.....It's more that time to reclaim the fun of my younger years.

I was more referring to the Yankees... ya know?

I know....LOL....sorry Steve.....I do tend to ramble in my old(er) years, and run amuck off topics........!

I do believe we will see another dynasty, hopefully in my lifetime. It's inevitable I think...?

I know I had thought we had seen the last of the Yankx dynasties, until to my surprise, here came the 90s...just when I thought the glory years were a thing of the past.

being a Yankee Fan-atic, we always have the future to look forward to. This "present moment' tho is a bit depressing, as far as the Yanks go.

Unless the current ownership & management really show something in the next couple of years, I think it'll be stagnant for a while...

Personally, I'd love to see the brothers grim sell to someone like Mark Cuban... someone who dives in completely.... someone who really cares and doesn't treat it as anything other than a cash cow...

I agree with you 100 percent, on this one Steve....I think Cuban's quest, and strong desire to own a MLB Team, especially THE YANKEES, would be just the antidote, to create a new era in Bronx History....I really like that thought...and I like Cuban's approach to Sports in General, and his no bullshit attitude and approach with other millionaire arrogant Sports Team owners...!

The Brother's Grimm, have been an embarrassment to the Steinbrenner legacy. I do believe it will be at least a few years, maybe more, (maybe less, depending on ownership's lack of moves, or bad moves, signings, et al.), before a dynasty can rationally be an actual reality, more than a illogical dream. A Travesty in NY....!!!
