Why do you mean a big man then? Why not a short guy. It's the same reasoning, no?
Well, Bill Bayno, served in a similar role for two years working with Oden.

Any well-known big man coaches in Europe/FIBA?

Here's an idea:
How about stealing Bill Laimbeer from the Wolves?![]()
How about Greg Kite. Or Dwayne Schintzius? Maybe Jon Koncak?
Uh, he passed away a few months ago.

I just can't see Joel doing anything for this guy
I think Joel would be a good mentor for him though."I'm blessed to have even met him," said Markieff Morris, who is in his first year with the Phoenix Suns. "He's the best big-man coach in the country. Any time that whistle blows and you look over to that sideline, he's telling you what to do.
"I owe most of my success to him."
Perhaps no Kansas team has been influenced by Manning's presence as much as the 2011-12 Jayhawks, whose Final Four run has been spearheaded, in part, by a frontcourt tandem that had a minimal impact prior to this season.
Manning has earned a reputation as a solid recruiter and one of the nation's elite coaches of big men. Under his tutelage, Thomas Robinson went from backup forward to first-team All-American and Withey from the bench to one of the Big 12's top defenders.
Danny Manning, anyone?
I think he would be great. When did he start coaching with the Wolves?
::BUMP::
It's clear he needs one badly. He has all the tools and feel for the game but he's very rough. The experience difference between Meyers and Donatas was very obvious.
