I was thinking deep on roy and how injury prone he tends to be..when I thought popped into my head what if his hammy isnt as bad as they are saying but management is using the hammie as a test to see who will step up and who wont.

Not saying the hammie isnt serious just that maybe KP is using the time off to evulate the team and maybe nate as well.

The offense moves a lot better without natroy stalling it will 101 million isos a game that end up with another roy injury.

food for thought.

Food for thought? More like cotton candy for the brain.

If Roy is holding himself out so the team can get a look at their deep bench, then he's an asshat, and if the organization put him up to it, they are even more asshatted for having him do it.

You're thinking too hard. For starters, Roy wouldn't agree to such a plan. He's a "gamer," and he loves to play. Also, Roy's presence in the lineup gives Portland a much better chance to win, and winning is what it's all about.

That said, I think there have been some clear benefits to giving other guy's playing time while Roy is out. We now have a better feel for Miller's abilities, to name just one example.

No way. I had another thought however - what if Roy's hammy was fine today at practice and they are downplaying the likelyhood of him playing tomororow? Lakers have a tough game at Denver tonight. How great would it be to see them throw everything they have tonight (including a banged up Kobe) at Denver and limp into the RG tomorrow thinking they got an easy one with no Roy, and then Roy comes running onto the court tomorrow night Willis Reed Style!

Then I remembered the Lakers have lost 9 straight games here and they probably wouldn't take it for granted if they were playing Portland State tomorrow.

Maybe he can be kept out for the next 10 years to see if the team can step up and win championships without him. The franchise will definitely build character for the post-Roy era if they know they can win titles without him.

One of the side effects of marijuana smoking can be paranoia... might it apply here? I do not know.:pimp:

Maybe they're holding out Oden and Pryzbilla too just to get a look @ Pendergraph and Cunningham.
