We have they day off but it could still be a very helpful day for us in the standings.

DAL @ BOS - tough match up for the Mavs

LAL @ SAS - either way helps but SAS loss helps more in the big picture

PHO @ ATL - a Suns road loss here against a good Hawks squad would really help by giving us an 2.5 game lead over the 9th spot

HOU @ DET - The Pistons need to step it up but a losable game for the ROckets for sure

UTH @ DEN - Again, either way help but a DEN loss probably helps more however a Jazz loss gives a 2.5 game lead over them as well with a game against them on 1/31 and a chance to do more damage

The chance is here for the Blazers to step up and do what playoff teams do: Win our games against the teams we should beat while our playoff rivals are playing against tough teams.

I agree, big day.

I would love to see Dallas, Phx, Houston, and Utah go down (SAS too) and have Ptd win the next 2 against the Clips and the Bobcats.

That would create some breathing room before the tough three game stretch of Utah, NO, Dallas.

boston woopin on dallas

edit; boston up by 31 lol...

edit2: 72 points from boston in the half..... what the fuck

New Orleans is playing without David West and Tyson Chandler, so we should be able to steal one from them.

I feel really good about the second half of the season, especially since we started out so strong with a tough schedule. Those wins were huge.

Definitely going to be a helpful day for us. It'll be nice to have a real 2-game cushion on the Mavs as they will have two more losses than us, and hopefully a 2.5 game cushion on Phoenix.

And then facing the Clippers on Monday, we need to get that revenge on them and it could be a 3-game cushion ahead of ninth.
