A lot of the seniors were mad at Chip for the Stanford game.

I have a family member who is dating a current Duck and I guess a lot of the Seniors on offense were pissed with Chip because he didn't run any screen plays during the Stanford game. He wanted to win it by proving they had a better power ground attack and it blew up in his face. I guess a lot of the elder statesman were pissed when they hadn't ran any screen plays and worked with what got them there in the beginning.

The source is a current player on the Ducks.

Chip is an ego manaic, which is why he is so great and so frustrating at the same time, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

I think the same could be said for any of the major head coaches.... Saban, Miles, Meyer, etc. All supreme ego maniacs.

Well, if true, and I have my doubts, maybe he felt the screen was covered. Maybe it was a second or third option but the QB failed to deliver...

Worthless thread.

Always trying to blame the QB. I don't think it was a second or third option but CK needed to make it the first option. There were a few of us in my section that was yelling why don't they try a screen. I don't know why CK didn't run a screen and am sure he has a good reason. It just seemed to me it would have worked but you really can't argue with CK's coaching.

I'm sure he had a good reason we well. I watched the game and I never saw a lot of great screen opportunities.

awww, somwun is a widdle gwumpy

zags, some people cant handle that other people have information, dont take it personal, im sure his next thread is gonna be a real barnburner

Take a look at my threads. Their mostly a hell of a lot better than this one. Have you started any in this section worth anything? Ya know, for someone who spends most their time advocating drug use and making fun of people, you sure don't add much to the forum.

Maybe you are right and that is why I wasn't as upset. My son that was at the game with me was really upset we didn't try at least a couple screen plays. I thought they might work and I figured nothing else seems to be working why not try it.

I could see players being upset at the playcalling. I certainly put more of that lass on Chip than Maldonado. I'm sure Chip does as well.

Did you mean Mariota? I know a few people in this forum think it was his fault but I don't think it was at all. We couldn't run except one time Mariota broke one and DAT didn't block for him. The few times he had time to throw there wasn't anybody open and most of the time our O-line didn't give him any time and he was running for his life. Sure Mariota could have played better but I give most of the credit to Stanford's defense with a little bit to our questionable play calling.

I saw some people saying Mariota whilted under pressure, is a front runner, cant play from behind etc etc... but yeah the game wasnt on Mariota either. He constantly had someone in his face. and was constantly put in 3rd and long with the playcalling, and the effort of the Stanford D. And if you do that against really good defenses, you arent gonna be as effective as you normally are in 3rd and manageable.

I mainly brought up the Maldonado reference because thats who most of the hate has been spewed towards.. at least in my observation.

Oh ok. I was just thinking our kicking is so bad and we knew it going into the game. I wouldn't of even tried a FG those times we did and would have kicked or went for it on 4th down. I'm hoping the new kicker recruit we got for next year is better.

end of the day, you cant make everyone happy with playcalling even if you win

selfishness rears its ugly head when times are tough

speaking of advocating drug use, time to double your dosage fella, zags was just passing on some info he got, and you attack him

and why even bother to create the strawman of making this about me? to deflect from your own failings? for calling you out for your self-aggrandizing? i could go post "worthless post" in a dozen of your epic threads like

threads so worthless, that they didnt even get a single response, as in EVERYONE thought they were worthless, not just one. angry. fella.

grow up

I'm just gonna put all the blame for the loss on DAT for not blocking. If we score on that run, the game might have gone a completely different direction, but we didn't and get nothing out of that possession.

There has been no answer for Colt since he arrived on the Ducks campus. That said, against Stanford we could have used him a hell of alot more!!!

OMG

Oregon lost a game this year! Mutiny!!! Fire Chip for not scoring 40 points in one game this year!

Stanford shut down the run, for the most part. It happens. Teams lose games. This is Stanford's 3rd straight BCS bowl ... it's not like losing to the Huskies or Beavers, for chrissakes.

Yeah, that one really hurt. I hope DAT thinks about that play all the time, and has made it a priority to never let it happen again. Our kicking game is what it is this year (crappy), but that was just a silly mental error.

We still don't use our TE's like we should and that is a first down almost every time! Colt is far to big of a weapon to use twice a game!!!
