you tube my friend....you can learn any cooking technique you like....your wife can look it up in Korean....my wife has learned to make traditional Taiwanese dishes on Chinese channels on youtube with excellent results...harder to find the originals in English....we have Bok Choy...Green Peas and tomatoes in the garden...we go to the Asian market for water chestnuts or bamboo shoots..etc….grow our own Taiwanese chives as well. the trick to your dish is the meat sautee'
We grow our own Korean chives, aka garlic chives. We also sometimes grow Korean cucumbers, which are similar but smaller than English cucumbers as well as Perilla leaves for making Kkaennip kimchee. The cucumbers are used for making my favorite kimchee, Oyee kimchee or cucumber kimchee.

Another of my favorite kimchees is made from watercress. Oh my God, it's so delicious. My wife eats her's too hot for me or my sister-in-law. When my mother-in-law was alive my wife's kimchee was too hot for her. It's doubly hotter than the hottest I can stand.

We once ate at a place that specialized in BBQ ribs in East Portland. They offered a hot and a fire hot ribs. I had the medium ribs and they were just a tad too hot for me. My wife had the fire hot ribs and said where was the spice. She was disappointed that they weren't hot enough.

She likes the outer part of the traditional kimchee made from Chinese cabbage whereas I like the tender heart of the cabbage kimchee.

There are so many different types of kimchee that I couldn't begin to describe them all.

I always thought of kimchee as being a Korean style of pickling my just yesterday my wife told me that kimchee was not Korean pickling and that there were types of Korean pickles that had nothing to do with kimchee. Live and learn, eh. I guess I'm not as worldly as I thought.

It would be fun to replace 'Radio Waves' in the title with 'Kimchee'.

You could reread the thread. Write down what happened step by step if need be and then admit that what you just wrote is bullshit but that would require integrity and the ability to admit when you're wrong.

Unfortunately those are two of the first things TDS attacks.

That and the ability to refrain from responding to a vague insult with a hypocritical and crude homophobic Trump dick sucking insult.

I wanted to apologize again for my post. I was only kidding around with you. I didn't mean upset or insult. It actually saddens me to hear that I'm the reason you are not posting much anymore.

But yes, sure, I have no integrity. I'm a asshole, a liar, a cunt, whatever you want to say about me. It's cool.

Sly of course it was not your intention to insult him, and I get your apology, but don't be a rug man. Don't get walked on. @MarAzul and @bodyman5000 and 1 made it political and began the derailment. Bodyman was called out for it. If he can't take it that's on him. I like @bodyman5000 and 1 regardless if I don't agree with him and would also hate to see him stop posting here. And, its good to make things right. I see you try to do so alot at your own expense.

Is it the spice that bothers you? Because if it is, my mother-in-law could not tolerate any spice at all but still ate 99% Korean food.

There's a kimchee cold soup called mool kimchee which I love. No spice at all in it.

Koreans eat their main course off an individual plate right in front of them but they eat their kimchee from communal bowls, usually two to three people per bowl. Sometimes there will be a plate of something and everyone eats from that plate using their chopsticks.

I use to be pretty fair with chopsticks but now I've got a nerve disorder that causes me to shake too much to use chopsticks. No problem, though, my wife helps me by using her chopsticks for me. I do have the best wife in the world.
