Our playoff contender Houston Rockets just got weaker as T-mac is going to have surgery on his knee. He is out for the rest of the season. This will help us in the playoff seeding as we play them again soon.

if yao goes down which could happen. that would help us a lot.

brooks was outplaying alston anyway so trade doesn't make much difference to their chances.

Yeah, because Houston sure has been struggling winning five out of their last seven games by an average of 15.8 points.

Yea I always love it when my teams gets into the playoffs because of another team stinking, rather than my team playing well. Isn't that always the way to get into the playoffs on a roll?:devilwink:

Meanwhile, Oden is out tomorrow and Sunday most likely, PHX could be improved just by reverting to their previous fast break style, and Utah is getting healthy. So as one supposedly gets weaker, two get stronger. 4th seed, we have a shot at getting to the second round. 8th seed, we get to deal with laker trolls all summer.

Maybe. If Lowry catches onto their schemes fast enough, he will start over Brooks

Yep. Can't have enough 41% shooting PGs who shoot less than 25% on 3s. Memphis got what looks to be a very low first-round draft pick for Kyle Lowry and a player still to be named. That is freaking hilarious to me.

Lowry plays MUCH better defense than Brooks does. Brooks is a chucker that gets abused on the defensive end.

Let's see, wasn't alston starting? How are his shooting %'s? Hmmmm....that would be 38% from FG and 34% from 3.

Agreed. I'd hate to make it or hope to get into the playoffs depending on other teams tanking at the end of the year. We need to get in because we deserve and earn it.

I think this might put some added pressure on the team to now go out and make the playoffs. If they don't, then there will be no doubt people will look at the trade deadline and a missed opportunity..

Those other 8 teams are not going anywhere. It will be a dog fight down to the wire. If we don't win 50 we won't make it. I think we will be a little short in all honesty

I still like our team and our chances. The tough thing is, every signle team below us has been through a playoff stretch run before. All have the experience of what it is like. I think we can make the playoffs still, but I think a solid deal could have pushed us from just in to a solid top 3 or 4 team. Anything above 7, and I like our odds of getting tot he second round.

We got weaker? Because we traded Ike? I'd say we are the same, and we are hopefully getting healthy with Blake comin' back. Hopefully we get Webster sometime this year.

We didn't get weaker. My belief the whole time has been that the other teams are all pretty good. I had hoped that Houston or Phoenix or Dallas would self
destruct, but i have not seen it. mark down feb 24-march 1st. That week is the key.

Actually, removing Ike and his collection of video games from the locker room might actually free some extra time for practice for some of those guys ;)

Dallas won't miss the playoffs, Phoenix finally is playing their style of bball, and houston is really the only one i could see us beating out.

You would think. Ay least on paper that is the way it looks. I just looked at Houston's schedule. It is not easy.
