Remember how, in the depths of the Great Recession, how Republicans were absolutely horrified by the idea of any economic stimulus?

Their mantra then was that the economy should just 'take its medicine' and crash hard, because then we could have a great recovery and everything would be awesome.

Fast forward 10 years, and now, faced with the mere possibility that we might have a recession, Republicans are clamoring for... stimulus, ASAP!

Yeah, I remember. And now they've blown their wad on that stupid useless tax cut that benefited the rich while doing nothing for the other 90% of us except saddle us with more debt that we'll have to pay for out of social security, medicare and medicaid so they have nothing in their toolkit to fight the now impending recession. It's like the Three Stooges took over the White House.
