Its useful most for news organizations to break news before the general population. basically its a faster way to read RSS feed news, unverified shit, etc...that's what I use it most for...more personal stuff I do on facebook.

no, its a faster way of getting breaking news..often faster than the TV, Radio or having someone design a webpage. Its useful for someone to share articles they found useful online or provide insight.
