hmmmm ...

I vote we try to trade for some veterans instead.

Scratch that. Batum's too good to part with.

Oh, and I hear ya, Nik. Vet(s) would be the key.

That first trade is horrible for them.

I would definitely do this trade! Rudy Gay is awesome. Conley is a good pick up as well- they may be the two best players in the trade.

Memphis laughs , then hangs up the phone

Yep. Gay is the cornerstone of the Memphis team. There's no way that they trade him for anything less than one of our big three... and I'm not sure they'd do it one-for-one with one of those guys.

ABM, I bet you really anger Kevin Pritchard as he's admitted trade ideas from the various Blazer boards get to him (in a bad way).

Is Kirk really worth all that? He hasn't done anything to even maintain his trade stock. If anything, it's likely his value is as low as ever. Stat wise, he's a downgrade from Steve Blake.

Two bench players and an expiring contract? I don't think we're really giving up THAT much value in that deal.

I don't know that Chicago would want that package of players.

Travis in particular is worth more than Kirk, bench player or not. The way Kirk has played he's starting by default because they just don't have any SG's worth playing. The depth in the Bulls backcourt is brutal.

Two bench players and an expiring contract for 2 bench players with bad contracts? Doesn't sound too smart to me.

I know this was just a popular assumption but Kirk isn't even a starter anymore. He's been regulated to the bench because the Bulls would rather start... get ready for this... they would rather start Thabo Sefalosha than Kirk Hinrich, yes Thabo Sefalosha. It should tell you a lot that the Bulls would rather start Thabo over Kirk.

Would Hinrich start for us? I think so.

Would either Frye or Outlaw start for the Bulls? Almost certainly not.

Then that speaks volumes about the standards and our depth at the PG position. If he can't start on the Bulls, I'd hope he wouldn't start on the Blazers.

Really? Want to take a look at Tyrus Thomas' numbers while starting? I think Frye would be a far more productive starter at the PF position than Thomas has been thus far.

Dude. Rose is a pretty darn good player.

And if we're not getting Hinrich to start, what's the point?

I seriously doubt that.

I seriously doubt that.

Tyrus is shooting 25%, he is cold. I'm not saying the trade makes sense or anything but Frye would be better than that.
