Good for Nassib. I'm a huge raiders fan and Carl seems like a good dude. He appears to be a pretty reserved guy. Proud of him for coming out while an active player.

You said it was larger news. If it was larger news shouldn't it have its own thread? Everything that has to do with the LGBTQ collective doesn't need to be lumped together in one thread. Someone being Trans and competing in the olympics and someone coming out as gay are not the same thing.

So, what the cat is effectively asking is that I delete my post, then repost it in its own thread as not to wend off the OP here. Well, we know that's never happened in here before.

There's this neat thing called "humility". You always have a snarky response, and then you run off and hide for a bit.

I don't think anyone else would've seen this thread and thought "hey, here's a great place to post about something about a transgendered athlete. I mean, it's the same, i mean, c'mon, we all know they're all weirdos anyways!1!"

I was being serious. The connection being two same-day landmark events from within the LGBTQ ranks. There is a relation. I felt the larger news was from an international perspective. I probably could've used a better description, though, so ya got me there.

But, whatever. Going tit-for-tat with you is a veritable exercise in futility.

Well, as example, when you start off so-called serious, fact-based discussions saying religious educational institutions are fake, then we're on completely different plains, Really, nothing to discuss any further.

Invariably, he (and others) gets his digs at me. Probably cuz I had voted for Trump....and the fallout from all of that. It's fine, though, I've since lost all humility and enjoy snarky little responses.

Do you REALLY think the digs are because you voted for Trump????????????? Despite so many of us trying to spell it out to you that our frustration with you is your inability (or outright refusal) to have a reasonable discussion without you reverting to smarm and snark when you get called out???? You don’t want a discussion, you just want attention. Your wallet must be YUGE with all the victim cards you seem to carry……..

Exactly. There are posters who also voted for him, but are able to carry on a reasonable discussion.

Hardly, pal. You really need to pay more attention. Let me a little more broad, though. While the digs invariably wend their way back to Trump, himself, they've generally spread out to the fact that I'm a strong Conservative and Christian, Pretty plain and simple. Shoot, I'm happy to have a reasonable and objective discussion with anyone without the likes of you, and others, stomping on my belief systems...and who I am as a person. I mean, look at what you just said. Smarm and snark are a direct result of that. It wreaks of cause and affect, I know. That said, look around and notice the positive contributions I add to this board. Let's have some discussions around those, shall we?

EDIT: Look, I know the drill. In fact, I've been on this S2 board longer than anyone else in here. I've never had any issue with anyone....ANYONE, until it was known I supported and voted for Trump. Any and all s0-called conflicts I've had have emanated from that simple fact.

And……….it’s still going over your head. You might be surprised that some of us share some of the same beliefs as you. We just go about it differently. For instance, I personally believe abortion to be murder. I am entitled to that belief. But I am NOT entitled to force my beliefs on others, nor do I have the right to say what women can do with their bodies. Nor does ANYONE else. That is between them and their God…..or whatever belief system they may hold. This is still America. And I don’t have a right to be holier than thou (something you come across as too damn often). A big part of my frustration is that a minority (of which you are a part of) in this country thump the tub about “Christian values”, freedom, the Constitution, personal rights, ad nauseum all the while doing everything you can to shit on democracy, the constitution, personal freedoms and “Christian values”. You’re part of the “if I can’t have my way 100% I’m gonna take my ball and go home” crowd. You support a minority who is trying to drag America back to the 1950’s when everything was white, heterosexual and male dominated, and who have effectively stuck a monkey wrench in the workings of the American government going forward. That is MY belief system and you “stomp” on it with your cavalier responses. See how that works? Other than abortion, I STILL don’t understand what motivates you politically other than perhaps your wallet………

You DO add positivity here when it comes to food, travel, music etc, etc. But when it comes to the political, your sauce is thinner than water……and probably best left alone.

Nor am I. What I AM entitled to is to fight to keep it away from tax dollars, while also discussing other means and methods such as providing alternative education around the dangers and emotional fallout that one (both female and male) may experience going through such. Never....NEVER have I tried to lord my beliefs on others. In here....nor anywhere! Conversely, I don't want someone mocking me if I don't believe how they do.
