I hope the above post doesn’t upset someone enough to turn me into my employer. This opinion in no way reflects that of the Trail Blazers, the NBA, Adam Silver or James Naismith.
Anyone who would turn you in to your employer would have to be an ass. I've never heard of anything more ridiculous in all my life. Count me in along with the many many in here who would testify in support of you. Certainly you know that by now.

I'm somewhat undecided on this. I'm not too concerned with the morality aspect of the death penalty, I'm more interested in the practicality. If it saves time, money, heartaches etc. to off a convicted murderer (someone with overwhelming evidence of having committed murder), I'm all for it.

I'm 100% for the death penalty. Hell, I'm pro-torture if the crime is bad enough.

It costs way more to put a man to death than to keep him alive and in prison for life.
If it would save a life to put a man to death I'll throw the switch but it doesn't. I mean what's the goal of punishment? I contend that it's to reform the perp. The problem is how do you tell when a person has been reformed and that's not an easy answer. Until that time if I can prevent another person from being harmed by the perp then I say let's keep him in prison and not stoop ourselves to pure retribution.

We should make it very hard to get a gun. Only the best of the best and qualified citizens should be allowed to own them after various background checks and psychological tests.

Increase the incarceration and penalties for having illegal guns. Mandatory minimums would be good.

Death penalty is automatic for any mass shooter. No appeals and a fast track conviction and execution.

Murderers won’t jump through any of those hoops to legally own a firearm. It’s just more burden on sane gun owners. All those steps you mentioned could be corrupted to basically implement confiscation/prohibition.

There is also the very real aspect of innocent people being convicted and put to death. We overlook that a lot because of the whole trial by jury thing but it happens more than it should. DNA is making this better but it also shows how many innocent people are actually locked up right now. I won't house 100s of violent offenders for ever if it meant 1 innocent person didn't die and had the chance to keep fighting for their deserved freedom.

We need to ban footballs. The use of a prolate spheroid ball is the source of these mental problems in players. You don't see these issues in sports that use a proper spherical ball.

That's only because athletes that use spherical balls practice safe distancing and wearing masks even during sexual intercourse as do I.
