The actor Dean Stockwell has died at the age of 85. In a 70-year Hollywood career, his film appearances included Dune, Blue Velvet and Married to the Mob, for which he was nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar. His roles in TV shows Quantum Leap and Battlestar Galactica made him popular with sci-fi fans and earned him four Emmy nominations.
