...secretly you're terrified that Oden is going to blow out his knee at this USA Team minicamp. I know I am. Sick, isn't it?

Dammit! That honestly hadn't entered my mind. Thanks Rasta.
Actually, the thought hadn't crept into my mind until I opened this post!...secretly you're terrified that Oden is going to blow out his knee at this USA Team minicamp. I know I am. Sick, isn't it?

me tooCall me a cocky SOB but I'm not worried at all.. I think this will be great for him!
hoops is a rough sport and injuries happen to almost every player. I'd struggle to come up with several players in the history of the league who didn't miss significant time to injury over a long career.
Actually no. Back when Greg initially got injured I went into the mode of "If we get something out of him, that's great, but I count on nothing." As a Blazer fan, you just get used to getting punked with something going wrong all the time. Once you get used to it, speculation about players becoming good goes out the window, and if something good happens, it is all a bonus. JailBlazers. Drafting Martell instead of Chris Paul. It doesn't matter. It's just part of the cloud that continually hangs over the team. So when something good happens, that is what is unexpected.
Why is it called minicamp?
