Wondering if any of you guys have Adobe Indesign for Mac? Would love to get a copy if anybody is in the mood to share. Thanks.......

Damn son, just outright asking to pirate software!? You know that's a hefty fine.
What are the penalties for pirating software?
The Copyright Act allows a copyright owner to recover monetary damages measured either by: (1) actual damages plus any additional profits of the infringer attributable to the infringement, or
(2) statutory damages, of up to $150,000 for each copyrighted work infringed.
The copyright owner also has the right to permanently enjoin an infringer from engaging in further infringing activities and may be awarded costs and attorneys' fees. The law also permits destruction or other reasonable disposition of all infringing copies and devices by which infringing copies have been made or used in violation of the copyright owner's exclusive rights. In cases of willful infringement, criminal penalties may also be assessed against the infringer.

You don't understand, HCP is an internet nerd who downloads from complex, hard to find websites. He doesn't like the concept of buying something because its too easy.

I don't blame him for trying. It is over a grand to buy that software. Of course I wouldn't ask on a message board personally. I would just go find it on a torrent. (Nerd talk over his head!)

He actually knows what you're talking about. HCP acts all cool and down, but he's really a huge computer dork!

You can get the Adobe Creative Cloud.

Plus he can write all of it off, since he's in that field.

You serious? You can't share programs like that?

I quoted the copy right laws for you sir. You can get fined if you make a copy of a program and give it to a friend or if you install it on multiple computers at home.

plus most of the free ones online are riddled with shit that will fuck your computer up. or they'll deactivate the licenses. or freeze them up when you try to update.

Its just a headache.
