The Springfield Armor's, presented by MGM Springfield, Adonis Thomas competed in the 2014 NBA D-League Boost Mobile Three-Point Competition Saturday afternoon in New Orleans.
The Armor's leader from beyond the arc, entering the All-Star break shooting at a 48.0 percent clip from long range, took on five of the league's sharp shooters at Sprint Arena inside NBA All-Star Jam Session at New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Thomas scored 12 points in the first round of the competition, but Idaho's E.J. Singler and Rio Grande Valley's Troy Daniels moved on to the finals with scores of 21 and 19 in the opening frame, respectively.
Singler went on to win the competition, besting Daniels with a score of 19 in the overtime portion of the finals after both competitors scored 14 in the first set of the final round.
After a five-day hiatus while the NBA D-League hosts its All-Star festivities in New Orleans, Springfield will return to action on Monday, February 17 at 6:00 p.m. inside the MassMutual Center to host the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
