If you really want to dig deeper into statistics and a full breakdown of a game this is a great place to start.

Some really interesting things in there, like charges taken, shot locations, offensive and defensive ratings, pace, etc.

Bayless's Adjusted PER is 20.93 this season. It was 9.34 last season. Wow. Just... wow. His 3P% is up to 42.9%!

Thanks Nic. Interesting - JB was 5-10 on shots from 16-23 ft. That's what we want scouts to see! Gotta get out and guard that guy now, and then watch him put the ball on the floor Louisiana style, Blew-By-You.

Speaking of charges - what did you think of the blocking foul vs Parker late in the game. Why was that not an offensive? That could have cost us the game. I thought Bayless beat him to the spot and was set . . . maybe I'm wrong.

tough to call in real time, but on the replay it was pretty clearly a charge. Bayless got there well in time and was set, but the refs probably saw him dragging his left foot a split second before impact and called it accordingly -- bottom line TP is a finals MVP and all-star, JB is a young'in in his first start on the road. I'm just glad it didn't cost us the game.

But think about this, if it had been called correctly, that would have been 3 charges taken and 0 personal fouls on JB in 42 minutes and gaurding Parker most of the game. That is some stud fucking defense and probably why Nate specifically praised him for his D in his post game comments.

(On Bayless) “We knew what [Bayless] was capable of doing if given the opportunity. He’s playing off the ball and we need him to score. He’s showing that he’s capable of scoring. Once again he showed it tonight. At the start of the game we realized Brandon wouldn’t be able to go and I told him he had to step in at that spot. I told him to have fun with it. We gave it to him, moved him around, and he delivered. I’m more happy to see him come along defensively, to see him playing off the ball. His game has definitely picked up.

You know you played fantastic defense at the point guard spot if Nate points it out in an interview.

Yep your right. I don't fault JB at all though. You can't afford to be afraid to play defense against somebody in the NBA because of their big game resume. It turned out alright because the premise behind it, playing hard and playing defense, had been executed all game long.
