Aljaz Bedene beats Vasek Pospisil in Chennai Open 1st round
Vasek Pospisil of Canada became the only seed not to reach the Chennai Open second round when he lost to Aljaz Bedene of Great Britain 7-5, 7-6 (6) on Tuesday.

Local wild card Ramkumar Ramanathan and Italian qualifier Thomas Fabbiano reached their first ATP quarterfinals at the Chennai Open on Thursday.
Also, third-seeded Benoit Paire of France advanced, but sixth-seeded Gilles Muller of Luxembourg was knocked out by Fabbiano 6-4, 7-5 in the second round.
Stan Wawrinka will play for a third successive Chennai Open title in the final against Borna Coric, the youngest finalist on the ATP Tour in eight years.
The final was set on Saturday when top-seeded Wawrinka defeated Benoit Paireof France 6-4, 6-4, and Coric ruined Aljaz Bedene's hopes of a repeat of the 2015 final, beating the Briton 7-6 (5), 6-7 (5), 6-3 after an almost-three-hour semifinal.
