I hope this didn't involve the Iranian navy. I was in college with an extremely nice Iranian who was in naval ROTC. I truly hope no harm has or will come to him.

Dam! I hate to see stories like this one;
"The aircraft carrier USS John Stennis operated in the Persian Gulf twice during its recent deployment, for three weeks earlier this year and a week in early April."

A tight body of water like the Persian Gulf is nowhere to send a Carrier!

It’s similar, I’m afraid, to the Turkish members of my team in AFG. The ones who have had contact with the West disappear under bad regimes.
