Jefferson, a center-forward, was arrested by the State Patrol and was brought to the Hennepin County Jail at 2:12 a.m., the jail records show. He was arrested on a charge of fourth degree driving while impaired, according to the log.

He was released at 3:19 a.m.

Can we officially call Al Jefferson the Anti-KG? No defense, great post play, and gets a DWI (Remember how traumatized KG was when his friend, his mentor growing up, got killed by a drunk driver coming home from his b-day party).

I know people make mistakes, people screw up and are granted mercy, but there are some things that the reparation needs to be severe to heal the wounds. I worry that Al jefferson might have destroyed any chance of the MN fanbase supporting him.

before he was drafted jefferson was measured at 6'9.75" in shoes. i have no problem with him being listed at 6'10.

As someone who lost his grandfather and best friend to drunk drivers, AMEN!! I still don't get why these guys are so frickin' stupid that they get drunk and get behind the wheel of a car. Dude, you make how many frickin' millions? I make $70K or so, and I can afford to take a cab home from downtown Portland to Wilsonville multiple times a year, so why can't they?
