With an exception of this one incident, I've never really took a sip of wine or beer and don't see why people like it so much. I think it smells and tastes bad, and prefer soda anyday(I don't drink it much anymore). Can someone tell me why it's so good?

It's an acquired taste, your taste buds change as you get older. It also depends on the kind of beer or wine you had. If you drank some cheap Budweiser or generic brand, then it probably tasted like crap.

Wine makes your food taste better.

I like to consider myself a bit of a "Beer Connoisseur", having tried many different Beers from around the world.

I have to say the best is Tui (which is a New Zealand beer, very nice) followed closely by Budweiser. I'm also a big fan of LaBatt Blue from Canada. But when I go out, I usually drink Carona and/or Crown or Tooheys Extra Dry.

Australian Beer is very overated.

Ah. Well, the only time I had it was by accident. At the dinner table, I was sitting next to my dad and he had his beer poured on to his glass, which was sitting next to my sprite. When I took my glass in the kitchen for more sprite, I accidently took his glass and poured sprite in it, so it a mixture of sprite and beer. Lol, I took it back, and noticed it was bubbly as hell, but still drank it. That's when I noticed I took my dad's glass.

Oh well.

I've never really liked the taste of beer. Lakeports (dollar beer in Canada), Budwiser, Canadian, Heinekin, Colt45, Stella, it didn't matter for me.

I actually like diluted white wine I think. While I think red wine has a stronger and more bitter flavour.

Alcohol does help with digestion apparently, and might be useful for sanitizing water (not a problem today).

Labatt is pretty bad IMO.

I personally like some Keith's or Stella. Heineken is good too.

Hard liquer is the real sh*t.

Lol I was at a bar this summer, and I thought it was pretty bland. We spent an hour or so singing along to the songs, drinking, and watching this middle-aged couple get at it pretty heavily at the table across from us. The guy even had his pants down the woman's pants...

On second thought, yeah. That'll be sweet lol.

<div class="quote_poster">Brian Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I tried a Budwiser before and it tasted like metal</div>

You tried to eat metal?

On the subject, never tasted alcohol in my life and I never will.

I thought I would never smoke/drink back in elementary-middle school...damn.

I became an avid drinker for 2-3 weeks when I was in 10th grade during the summer. There was a lot of beer/wine left over from a 4th of July barbecue at my friends, and his parents left out of town for a week 2 days later. He called us up and at first I wanted to "stay true to the weed"...saying that and things like "weed is all I need," but I decided to give drinking a shot. At first I hated the taste, but continued to drink because I wanted to get drunk. After getting drunk and throwing up for 5 straight days, I got used to the taste and began to crave it during the evenings. Well his parents got home 2 days later and that was the end of my 'addictive drinking' experience, thank god.

If you go to clubs, get tipsy/buzzed so you can loosen up and dance. If your at a party to dance, then do the same, I don't know why you would. But if you are at a party to get laid then focus on getting the girl drunk.

^Only times I use beer nowadays.

Anyone esle think smoking weed (dro) is better than beer? If I was still in high school I would still be doing it.

Oh yea, Tobbacco is wakko. Just say no to Tobbacco.

Really? Why not? I mean if you drink responsibly, and can handle alcohol (such as myself

) then you should have nothing to worry or stop you.

What a coincidence, i'm finished right now. I thought pretty much every9ne around 17-18 drank. Anyways, alchols not really about the taste. You put up with the taste in order to get ham'd until you get used to it.

It's very much about the taste, maybe not at 16-17, but as you get older you'll learn to appreciate it.

I can't seem to drink beer anymore. It was fine when I first started drinking, but now even a little makes me want to throw up. Guinness and similar stouts are the only things I can stand.

Liquor tastes better, anyway.

Umm, I like beer. It tastes great, escpecially with junk food etc.

It's the best drink when you want to have some good time with friends.

But when I want a real party - Vodka, rum, wine etc.

captain morgan tattoo with coke is amazing tast just like cherry coke..jager is also the shiznit...if ur looking for good beer. mich ultra is the best..its a light beer that taste pretty good and give u a good buzz...if ur a little girl and cant man up to drink a beer they have apple cider beer..i forget the name of it but its like 6% and it will straight tred u after like 4 or soo and it taste damn good

I love Newcastle, Guiness, and any Indian Pale Ale Beer. In general beer is the drink of gods, it goes great with everything, pizza, sausages, steak, sandwich, sushi, pasta, pancakes. Just talking about beer makes we want an ice cold one from the fridge.

Keiths is made by labatt.....labatt is a brewer not a beer.

Guiness draft or stout?....they are both gross imo.
Its india pale ale dude, you never refer to it as indian.....its always just an india pale ale.....i'm nitpicking i know
Keiths is very good if you can get it in LA...i dunno if you can.

For a connoisseur you pick some bad beers.....Bud is a decent domestic beer if u have to drink one. Blue is disgusting...on my worst all time beer list.

You can quote multiple people in one post, instead of triple posting.

</div>there is only one guinness - it is a stout.
one other thing - if i see someone drinking a light beer i lose a lot of respect for them right there and then. besides the fact that they are concerned about calories while drinking beer, which is kind of like screwing a chick and wondering how your hair looks, it says a lot about how they've been fooled by marketing - you have to drink more light beer to catch a buzz, and calorie wise they're not much less than regular beer. A 12-oz. regular beer is about 150 cals, a "light" beer is about 110 cals..........not to mention they taste like ass. I just pray Guinness never makes a light beer. that will be a sad day.

As a Wisconsinite, I must say that liquor is awesome.

As far as that goes, I like Miller High Life and Moose Drool for beer, and Jack Daniels, Jaeger, Rumpleminze and Hennessey for harder alcohol.

But I've also got to say this, and I'm not trying to hijack this thread or anything, but IMO, weed is about the same price as a bunch of booze, and it doesn't give you a hangover or **** you up so bad that you say or do stupid things, plus you don't have to worry about drunk driving. Obviously, it's illegal to get weed, but it's easy around here, and honestly since I started smoking I've hardly drank at all, just like a beer or two when we go out or watch a game.

That's just me though, by all means get yourselves drunk and be merry. It's a celebration, bishes! Ahahahahah [/rick james]

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Keiths is made by labatt.....labatt is a brewer not a beer.</div>I was referring to Labatt Blue. Generally Blue is just known as Labatt around my circle.

I used to dislike beer like most people, then I decided it was cheaper and a more efficient and fun way to get drunk so I started forcing myself to chug it whenever I was with friends. In like less than a week I had acquired the taste and am now in love. I like hard alcohol too, but i'd rather sit back and drink a beer any day... or stand up and shotgun one, which I also recommend. My favorite beers are Coors Light, Miller Lite, and Henry Weinhard's, although I can drink anything really.

Agree, I think anyone who has done both will tell you that weed is a better option for partying since you don't get hangovers, overdose, its easier to hide your highness at work or in front of your parents, and you don't turn into a belligerent idiot who can't drive. Of course if you're on parole, looking for a job, or playing on a sports team that tests for drugs then alcohol is the better option. Its ridiculous that in American society we're taught that weed is a terrible drug while its probably less harmful than alcohol and many prescribed drugs.

As for me, I generally stick to Vodka. Its cheap, relatively easily accessible, effective, you can mix it with alot of stuff (Gatorade for the on-the-go or student alcoholic, Red Bull for partying, or you can drink it straight if you've got a big group that you have to pass it around to). On occasion I'll have some Jack Daniels, Captain Morgan, or whatever else I can get my hands on. Like I said though if some bud is available I'd usually use that instead.
