Because I'm Netstradamus. Don't question me.

I meant to say "he seems to be lower 1st round talent". He was ranked at the top of the 2nd round in every mock draft I've seen...before all those players dropped out. He's got the biggest body in the draft, and alot of strength, so it seems he could be deemed very valuable to a team looking for a big, strong big man.

Basing this simply off highlights and what I've read about him, he looks to be a good, skilled big man - and pretty quick for his size.

But it also seems he hasn't played enough against good competition to warrant an early first round pick - just yet.

I hope Westbrook has a good workout. It seems like there is a decent chance he'll still be on the board at #10, and from what people have been saying about him, I think he may be a better fit than Gallinari. If you can't play defense, you won't play under Coach Frank. And it comes back to the point that the team should have a unified identity, and what that identity should be. If Westbrook is truly a great defender, then imagine watching him and Devin on the perimeter.

I like Westbrook for all the reasons you've listed Dumpy (which center about how he fits into the team now); I also see him as our next starting SG once Carter leaves.

Heck, I wouldn't be disappointed if we moved up a couple spots to draft him

Many of the mocks have him lasting to #10. I'm not sure I believe it, but it is possible. There are apparently rumblings that Minnesota will take Love at #5 (after Bayless), and that the Bobcats will take Lopez at #9 to move Okafur to PF permanently. Let's assume that happens. That leaves the Knicks, Clippers, and Milwaukee. Eric Gordon will probably go to one of those teams, probably to either the Knicks or Clippers.

As for the other two teams, there appear to be five possibilities: Gallinari, Westbrook, Anthony Randolph, Augustin, and Joe Alexander. They could probably go in any order.

Many of the mocks seem to believe that Joe Alexander is not getting by Milwaukee--you forgot about him.

The Clippers could do anything. They could go PG to replace Livingstone, SG because their shooting guards are all sucky veterans, or, if they think Brand will leave, they could go big. I have to think that they'll take Gordon if he is still there, though. . . . which pushes it to the Knicks. If the Knicks don't take Gordon or Westbrook, then Westbrook falls to NJ. Too bad Isiah isn't around any more--he'd take Kyle Weaver.

and with drafting him it would definately make jefferson expendable cuz we can have harris, westbrook, carter, jefferson, and boone on the court in the last 5 mins of the game... that would be too small...

Westbrook is only 6'3", but he's got a huge wingspan (almost 6'8", which is big for a guard) and an 8'4" standing reach. So he has a short neck. He's also very fast and refered to as a "freakish" athlete.

That lineup would put the clamps on Toronto because Jefferson defends Bosh well. I doubt they close many games out using it, but there could be times it is handy.

Absolutely. Don't need to start in order to instantly contribute. A Harris, Carter and Westbrook rotation in the backcourt would be pretty solid.
