I read an article that the Yankees are considering trading for him. They need the offense but I have to admit part of me wants them to just trade Kuroda, Cano and maybe see if CC will waive his no trade. I don't think the Yanks will ever sell but this season is TOAST...

You cannot trade every single player and then field a AAA club the next year or two while you wait for prospects to be ready. Yes, fire sales occur in sports but teams don't sell off everything. You still need guys to build around.

Why would you want to trade Kuroda. He's the only pitcher worth anything on the Yankees.

I think we over estimate what we would get back for some of these guys.

I'm afraid that as long as we have 3 long term contracts totaling over 70M dollars (A-Rod, CC & Tex) we're probably a couple of years away from rebuilding.

probably right... and in the meantime, we suck... this team isn't close to good...

With the money we have coming off the books at years end we should be able to add a few nice pieces that would AT LEAST make us competitive again.

maybe... but I just don't see it... I see a few lean years ahead...

Don't mean to sound redundant but replacing Wells & Hafner in the line up with say...Morales & McCann, that would be a MAJOR step in the right direction.

I would love to replace Wells and Hafner with Morales and McCann but don't see the Braves dealing McCann. Morales I think could be more of a possibility.
