No Deni. Thought he had a shot at 3rd team, but lots of guys with good seasons. Tough to complain too much. Well...

Deni was 16th in the voting but it was a big gap between him and Chet, who was the guy with the 15th most voting points. It's still a hell of an accomplishment being recognized as the 16th best player in the league along with guys like KAT, Scottie Barnes and Harden as the last guys not to make all nba.

the top 22 vote-getters were all on teams with winning records. Bam at 23 was the first player to show up in the vote totals from a team with a losing record. Only 2 of the 27 players came from teams with losing records

Think I would've put Deni above Duren.

Kind of hate how the NBA announces these awards months after the fact. Hard not to let the playoffs alter your opinion when we're nearly at the final round.

I see this roster has been relegated into complete obscurity. Makes it easier to be unsentimental as a new owner; I wonder if this isn’t an unintentional favor the voters have done Tom.

Yeah it's just the announcements that's delayed. The voting happens before the playoffs start.

But maybe ST is saying because the announcement happen throughout the Playoffs, fans perception of awards being deserved or not are influenced, because most fans don't necessarily know Awards are for Regular Season

Despite not making an All NBA team, it was a great year for Deni. If he (and the team) had fared a little better with injuries especially with him having that down stretch post tweaking his back, they win more and he makes it. He is just 25 years old.

Yeah that was my point. Even if we know it was for the regular season it's hard to be excited about it once a bunch of playoffs have since happened. Some years they hand out the MVP to a guy in street clothes.

Should just announce all the awards the first 3 games of the playoffs.
