WEST WOULD DESTROY THE EAST IN AN ACTUAL GAME FAMS!

So how does the whole international player thing work in this allstar game?

Great, just effing great. How soon before an Executive Order comes down that ALL NBS all stars HAVE to be American born. Or worse, American born stars a required to play against foreign born stars....?
Important to remember that the coaches voting to fill the rest of the 24 man all star spots will not be looking at where players were born. They are just supposed to pick the 14 best left after the starters. If there are more than 8 international players picked between starters and backups then Silver will pick the American born players to make up the difference or vice versa.

so then 5 foreign born already in

Sengun, Franz Wagner, Embiid, Jamal Murray, Siakam, Markkanen, Gobert, Giddey, Sabonis. I think Sengun may be close to a lock; so Deni will be competing with those other 8 guys. This assumes Jokic will be healthy by the all-star game; might not be

I'd think Deni will probably make it it, especially if the Blazers can climb a few games over .500. I think a lot of coaches will recognize how difficult a matchup Deni is

If an international player can’t play because of injury, does he have to be replaced by an international player and same with the US player? This is a mess FAMS!

Yes, and the international player is immediately deported.

I don't think that's how it works. The question is what 7 reserves the coaches select from the western conference and if Deni is one of them.

I would imagine that in the west you will likely see Jamal Murray, Deni, Alpi, durant, chet, booker and Ant- which means that you are likely to have more than 8 international all-stars and the Commish will have to add American players (which means he will likely add Lebron or Kawahi).

Yeah, Silver will make sure that there are at least 16 American born players and at least 8 international players after the coaches pick whoever they want to be the 14 backups. Silver will also choose the replacement players for guys who can't play because of injury.

That might be the weakest starting 5 in recent memory if not EVER!
All those players are deserving and in their prime. More than once I have seen players over the hill voted as starter. Will take that team over anything with Antoine Walker or BJ Armstrong.

I was kind of getting at that, though I didn't explain it well

definitely Sengun and Edwards. Jalen Williams would have probably got in but he's having an injury plagued season. So yeah, probably Holmgren. Murray is averaging 26-4-7 with crazy efficiency and has been carrying Denver since Jokic went out; so he's probably in, and deserves to be. The Suns have over-achieved and Booker leads them, so yeah, he's probably in. Durant? OK, sure. But if Houston, Denver, and OKC have 2 players, it might be hard not to add a 2nd Spur. Does Fox get considered?

I think Deni gets in, but it may be tight
