So i expect a number will immediately say they cannot trust the media or CNN in particular. However if even 10% of this is true which i have absolutely no doubt it is? How could anyone stand with this president?

Go Ahead. Read this article. Not just the first sentence. Not just the first paragraph. Take the time to read the whole thing. Word for treacherous WORD.
https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/29/politics/trump-phone-calls-national-security-concerns/index.html

This is how it starts.....

"In hundreds of highly classified phone calls with foreign heads of state, President Donald Trump was so consistently unprepared for discussion of serious issues, so often outplayed in his conversations with powerful leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Erdogan, and so abusive to leaders of America's principal allies, that the calls helped convince some senior US officials -- including his former secretaries of state and defense, two national security advisers and his longest-serving chief of staff -- that the President himself posed a danger to the national security of the United States, according to White House and intelligence officials intimately familiar with the contents of the conversations."

"The calls caused former top Trump deputies -- including national security advisers H.R. McMaster and John Bolton, Defense Secretary James Mattis, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, and White House chief of staff John Kelly, as well as intelligence officials -- to conclude that the President was often "delusional," as two sources put it, in his dealings with foreign leaders. The sources said there was little evidence that the President became more skillful or competent in his telephone conversations with most heads of state over time. Rather, he continued to believe that he could either charm, jawbone or bully almost any foreign leader into capitulating to his will, and often pursued goals more attuned to his own agenda than what many of his senior advisers considered the national interest."

Interesting how nobody wants to even talk about this.

Very telling indeed!

He’s a typical New York in your face know it all business man. Not all are this way but a good percentage are, I know I’ve dealt with them for 40 years. Diplomacy is non existent, it’s “don’t tell me about your f...ing product, I know about your F...ing product”. Trump is in the Whitehouse because many couldn’t stand Hillary and they were amazed at his brashness, but I can assure you, those many are now tired of it.

Yup, his "base" has dwindled.

Pretty sure Joe Biden can at least read a daily briefing report. He ain't perfect. In my opinion he is too old. But there is no way i will allow my vote to go to a person that not one, not two, but three four star generals are saying is a threat to national security because he will not take the time to read an intelligence report and study enough to know the history of dealings between nations.

Good thing we got delusion 2.0 with Biden on deck!

ha, not even close. I have confidence that Biden at least knows how to be human and will do a much better job of appointing people that know their shit as opposed to donnie dolittle and his revolving administration and nepotism.

You can’t really demand that a bunch of people read a long article from a source they don’t trust, then say “I told you so” when they don’t read it.

Actually he can as he did. Did you read it? Your boy is looking more and more like a traitor. We all knew he was a mindless bully. :devilwink:

Can you imagine how much scrutiny Joe is going to get when he becomes president. Why would anyone want this position now days?

Hoop, to be honest, I look at nearly all people who run for office with incredulity/skepticism.

I think our best option this November may be for us to vote for anyone other than the incumbents......then again, I'm not sure that would help.

Said it before but again, Biden was not my first choice but I would vote for Donald Duck before I vote for Captain Combover.

Can you imagine how much scrutiny the First Black president got? Seriously the very first day he was president John Bohner had a press briefing and proclaimed they would do everything in their power to make sure he was a "One Term President".
That was a man that won both the electoral vote and popular vote TWICE and was president of the Harvard law review. A man that was previously a US Senator. That kind of Political divisiveness had never before been heard of and to this day has still been on display four years after his second term has ended.

I can't demand anything. But if you read this article it is written by five different contributors and is completely linked.

If you think this is a CNN thing then you are mistaken.

Article noted not surprisingly that he is especially abusive to female heads of state, calling Theresa May and Angela Merkel stupid and screaming at them.

Can anyone regardless of political leaning honestly say they don't believe Trump would act this way? Don't believe he won't read intelligence briefings? Don't believe he would take Putin's word over US intelligence?

Exactly.
Who can read that and honestly think this is not true. Who has been paying even the slightest bit of attention and think Donald Trump does not do all of these things.
Like i said. If only 10% of it is true he is unfit to be the President. What is actually the case is probably much much worse. 100% of this and a bunch we have not and will not be told until he is out of office.

I am sorry, but I disagree with this. The level of incompetency and harm that was done by this administration will take decades to eradicate - so not sure that it would help is something I do not agree with - anything with a pulse who can do more than spew garbage and hate will be better.

Having said that, anyone that expects any administration to fix that mess that will be left in the trail of the Trump administration quickly is setting themselves for a disappointment. It took about 6 years for the Obama administration to truly get us out of the great recession that the Bush administration left us with - and that was a much smaller problem than what is left by Trump and his enablers.

Worst excuse for a president in my lifetime......I'll say it now...he's going to be crushed. For those who think it's CNN spin try to broaden your reading and check out the BBC feed ...I've switched over to the Taipei News and BBC as my bookmarked news feeds...there's just more real world news there and nobody can claim campaign bias in their editorials...Trump has embarrassed himself daily for many decades ...even before he was elected...anyone who thought he was a swamp drainer is delusional...the BLM movement has caused England to expose a really evil cult of white supremacists in England who have been organized since the 1970s...mostly made of soldiers for hire or retired special forces guys..Europe has given up trying to talk with Trump about anything...they're talking with China now for trade deals Trump threw away.for the ability to use them as his total scapegoat....his first one was Mexico...then Canada...then Europe and England....while reaching out to Russia, Saudi Arabia, Israel and N Korea......this is what half the country voted for....if he's reelected I'll probably rethink living here moving forward...I have options I trust more than a Trump led system....he didn't want to achieve peace in the middle east by moving the embassy to Jerusalem either...that was just to piss off Palestinians after so much work has gone into bringing them to the negotiating table...read Jimmy Carter's take on that...Carter knows more about the region than anyone in Trump's camp ever will...Kushner just wants to build houses in the west bank

Just to be clear, you agree that "voting against incumbents this November "would be our "best option"...but you disagree that it "might not make a difference"?

...right?

Correct. Best interest - get this idiot as far away from anything not resembling a golf course as quickly as possible. Might not make a difference I disagree with. Even if Biden is a net-zero president (and I do not think he will be, he is an accomplished operator) - it is much much better than a negative president.

Thanks...thought so.

I'm sure you know that I cannot stand Trump and getting him out of office is the first objective.

My "might not make a difference" comment was directed at removing all incumbents, not just the big Tangerine.

I think the incumbents (swamp) will be a lot less brazen if the fish did not smell from the head...

Yup...on one hand "experience" can be helpful as far as knowing how to get things done in Washington but on the other hand "experience" also breeds corruption.

I also touch on this in another thread but nearly as important as getting rid of Trump, we also need to educate ourselves as well as others on the issues and the people running for office in out state and local elections...half measures are not enough and so, a complete purge of our government may work to our advantage.

BUT, none of this will matter if we shirk our civic responsibilities by NOT VOTING !...we have the tools to make a change but we MUST exercise our right to vote.
