I haven't even bothered to vote this season...any of you vote for a Blazer? First season I don't feel like voting at all...doesn't seem much buzz around it ...

didn't realize this would go to the OT section when I made it...

I haven't ever cared about the AS.... so I don't see a difference this year at all.

I voted a couple of times. It's not worth it, a waste of time. There was no way Dame or CJ were going to get voted in.
The NBA needs to change it to 34% fans, 33% players/coaches, 33% media.

Fans accounted for 50 percent of the vote to determine the starters. Current players and the media accounted for 25 percent each.

What all star game?

There's an all star game?

Huh.

Keep it 100% fans. Who cares if it's a popularity contest. It's the fans who buy the tickets and watch the games. I have no problem with them getting to pick the starters.

I guess it's probably important to the guys that get selected, but the game itself is unwatchable and I haven't cared about it in years -- not since I was a teenager.

The only thing worse is the Rookie-Sophomore game.

I can't watch either.

I voted several times for Dame/CJ but I knew it was an exercise in futility. I'm usually at least curious enough to DVR the game and watch some of it, this year total apathy.

I didn't waste my time, its all a big joke

Then we can't use "All star selections " as criteria for contracts or the worth of a player

If Lillard makes it there, he'll be launching those halfcourt threes as well. It's a "GSW douchwad" league now.

Don't remind me.

And frankly I don't know if he really deserves it this year. The team's performance and his play since early December make it pretty borderline at best. He'll make it though now that Paul is out.

1. A player's agent can use whatever he wants as justification to get his player paid more. Doesn't mean the GM will agree to it.

2. All NBA Teams are also used as criteria for the worth of a player.

3. Teams sell all star merchandise featuring the name of the player on their team that made the AST, but a player shouldn't enjoy some financial benefit from it?

We being fans.

the all star game hasn't been a great watch in years. i doubt this one will be an exception.

I still can't believe Westbrook isn't starting avg a triple double in west...another reason the allstar voting sucks...
I think it's silly that they had the fan vote be 50% AND be the tie breaker. If the tie breaker had been "categories won", Westbrook and Thomas would have (deservedly) have been in over Curry and Derozan.

I will only vote if one of our players has a chance. This year I knew they didn;t. Not with our abysmal play, so no. I didn't vote.
I will watch though because I'm interested to see KD and Westbrook on the court at the same time on the same team and see how it goes, but other than that, I could care less.

How may times did you vote for Westbrook?
I didn't vote once....sort of the meaning of the thread.....just lost interest, but looking at results...don't see how he didn't make the first team...first season I haven't voted

So you don't like the results of an election yet you didn't vote.

woof....does that explain it? There's a difference between not liking results and being apathetic to the whole allstar game...I'm later camp...but yes..I'm bitching about the results ...they should just turn the whole process over to me and I'll fix it all.....be sure to let them know I'm available
