after a disappointing Orlando ordeal Pelicans part way with Alvin Gentry. Please don't turn this into a Stotts bashing and I ask the mods to establish that. There are plenty of other threads for that.

Right on time for the typical NBA team fire sales. More to come...

Portland could use a new coach maybe?

He isn't any better than Stotts. I could never stand him as an opponent coach. Don't see it happening. Stott's isn't going anywhere. He will be our coach for at least two more seasons.

I don't like this move. He has done a good job developing Ball and Ingraham. I think Griffin is looking for a scapegoat because his first round pick is turning out to be round but not first. Gentry was pretty clear that he thought Zion should really play.

They needed a scapegoat for not making the play in when they had the easiest schedule. The NBA is not happy.

Jrue would be so perfect next to Dame. Not ball dependent but can create his own shot (I don't see Dame thriving with a player that needs to run off screens, for all his abilities he's not an amazing distributor and that's not Terry's offense) and the KILLER defense.

I don't see New Orleans having any interest in CJ or Neil Olshey having any interest in trading him but I wish there was a three way that made sense.

Feels like New Orleans will continue to waste the early careers of major talent. Unless there is a replacement they were targeting, I don't get shaking it up.

Maybe now the Blazers can actually beat the Pelicans for once.
