Roy could do some sideline reporting, and be the 3rd guy in the booth like Jaws on MNF. He would be worth an unreal salary for a broadcaster, maybe even $5 mil per season, becuase it would be such good PR. He could save wear and tear on his knees instead of worrying about being able to walk normally at the age of 50. If he continued to play he won't earn any additional playing salary from being claimed off amnesty waivers so this way he can earn additional money announcing games and can stay involved with the franchise and fan base that loves him.

i would rather he wins this years mvp, if we are talking about impossibly rad scenarios

I'd rather see him in a player/asst.coach position mentoring our newbies if we keep him.

He could make a legend for himself in a role like that, and contribute on court as much or as little as able or needed.

The main entity benefiting from Roy is the Oregonian, which fills pages and pages with his quotes. So they should pay him the $5 million per year to be Quick's doughnut fetcher.

Draco knew this was coming...

My guess is that being around the team would be kind of a bitter pill for Roy right now. If he ever does come back in some capacity I imagine it won't be for awhile.

Yeah I could see him wanting to take some time off while he comes to terms with all of this. But if he feels like getting back involved with the team I'm sure this or another job will be there for him.
