An idea long overdue

I hate to say it, but that sounds like a dangerous idea to me. Many of the freedoms and rights in the Constitution would not be approved today; an electorate too uninformed and divided.

Unless, of course, we could fix the 2nd Amendment to get back to the framers original intent - guns used for militia purposes only (now there is some fodder, kids!)

I would really love to know what the founders were thinking by writing the 2nd Amendment in such an ambiguous fashion with that odd comma. I think it's precisely so there would always be an active and healthy debate on the issue of the right to bear arms as they likely recognized that circumstances change.

BTW, repped. I agree with you on the dangers. It's sad to see most Americans so casually willing to give up their enshrined freedoms.
