Amazing, for a team doing so well they have the 29th and 30th rated PK and PP. Strange. Hopefully the Rangers don't help them get well.

Can't turn the puck over against teams like this.

Even though we didn't score, this PP is so much better than the past few seasons. The puck movement alone is quick and decisive. It is good to see.

It is alot better, they just don't have anyone who can get to the middle of ice and beat the goalie straight on. A little too much deliberateness at the point too, just get the puck on goal. Having small MZA in the middle is pointless, and if DZ can't help on the pp he's pretty much worthless.

Not totally blaming all on hank but another obligatory game where hank is getting outplayed by the guy who you never heard of before.

It's games like this where you see the need for better a size/skill ratio in the lineup.

Nice to see MDZ score a goal. Good for him. Big goal...now let's keep pushing.

It's amazing how coaches know that if they give their starting goalie's the night off when facing the Rangers, they probably won't miss a beat.

Can't say we didn't have chances. Need the PP to come through. We'll see if it does.

Of all the things we all say we need, I think a guy who has a big one time type of shot would be huge for this team. It is lacking big time, and we see it clearly on the PP.

Pouliot with a rough game. Offsides a few times on the PP, and now a bad penalty.

At the end of the day, what can you do, another game where we just cannot score goals. Oh well...is what it is. At least we are used to it the past few seasons.

Funny way to end it. Didn't play that poorly, but as usual can't score. Let's hope we can get it going on Wednesday.

To me it is just business as usual when we lose. Score 1 goal and you won't win many games. Not much else to say.

You aren't going to score a lot of goals, by shooting the puck directly at the goalie.

They make to many back-up goalies look like All Stars. It's their MO

Agreed, and that is something we have said for a few years also. Until we get a little more talent in here upfront, a big shot is a must, not much will change IMO.

Amazing how the NHL is cracking down on blows to the head but Stepan gets two and there's no whistle, another thing that never seems to change. The offsides call on Pouliot in the 3rd was not even close to offsides. Plenty of chances but no goals, Andersen played a better game. Pouliot takes a dumb penalty at the end but too many men on the ice is inexcusable (bad memories of Torts).

These are the teams they need to beat. Another one coming up Wednesday.

Why scratch Miller? Boyle and Pyatt need to be on the fourth line.
Miller Brassard and Pouliot can handle the third line.

They played pretty well, if not for a few defensive blunders at the start. Too many blocked shots though, they need to find a way to get more rebounds on a young goalie. Still missing far too many nets as usual.

I thought they played a good game tonight. Couldnt get that 2nd goal but it wasnt like the Ducks size and speed dominated the Rangers. This was a pretty even game I thought and that is a good sign.

Team is not there yet but its making strides. THEY NEED TO GET NASH BACK. They also need to add some scoring on this roster.

Agree 100%. This is a game and a team where Nash was badly needed. Way too many of their shots got blocked. They need to get more thru to the net.

I thought we played a decent game as well. Same old story though, can't score goals. What can you do I guess. Sure we need Nash back, but sadly he is not coming back anytime soon. So we either try and make a move for more scoring OR struggle to score and lose a lot of games like last night against very good teams.

They played decent at times. You know what was driving me nuts last night? Boyle playing every other shift. AV played him with Brassard and Cally, I believe. It did not make any sense to me. What was the point of dressing up Mashinter and Pyatt last night? As soon as AV stopped playing Boyle with 6 or 7 minutes left they started creating scoring chances consistently. The coaching has been inconsistent as the players so far.
