.We'll see what happens. Had a feeling he was going back anyway, with the team not headed back yet (they're hanging in DC for the day). I'd assume he misses this weekend's back-to-back at the very least. Anything more than a few weeks is a big problem for us.
I will say this though, if there is EVER a time to give McIlrath some NHL burn, this would be it. Firmly in a playoff position. Back-to-back games against weak teams. Hole for a right-handed dman on the third pair. I mean this is tailor-made for him. We'll see what AV hates more, the idea of playing L-L on the third, or the idea of playing Dylan.
Keep in mind, McIlrath isnt exempt from waivers next year. This could be the last chance we have to get him up for a few games and send him back.
