Yes. No lottery pick and swept in the playoffs. The perfect ending.

It was worth having them make the playoffs on that last night, just to be able to watch 4 more painful losses.

I'm having a ton of fun reading Lakersground.net at the moment. So many of their fans think Pau Gasol is worth a top lottery pick or they can get really good players in their prime for him. The delusion over there is so great i'm having a blast.

This almost makes up for the Blazers missing the playoffs.

:biglaugh:

As I remember the Lakers traded marc gasol to the griz for pau. Im much happy the lakers have pau instead of marc

On February 1, 2008, Gasol was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers along with a 2010 second round draft pick for Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, Aaron McKie, the rights to Marc Gasol (Pau's younger brother), and 2008 and 2010 first round draft picks.

Yeah, had forgotten that Marc was part of that deal.

How easy to forget that because of Gasol they went to 3 finals in 3 years and won 2 of them. Regardless of how good Marc Gasol is now the Lakers won that trade by a landslide.

As part of that trade, the Grizzlies ended up drafting Greivis Vasquez and Donte Greene (who, incidentally, was then traded to Houston on the 2008 draft night as part of a three-team deal that landed Batum in Portland. Greene is back, though.)

They went to the Finals three times because Jordan Farmar stepped up his game and led that team. How many championships have they won since they let Farmar go? Thank you.

You gotta love that the only player signed to play for the Lakers in 2014-15 is Steve Nash. HAHAHAHAHAHA!

It was definitely sweet to see them get completely obliterated by the Spurs.

Marc Gasol was just a rookie #48 pick, so the Lakers thought they were giving nothing. 47 teams passed him over.

Weren't the L*kers swept by the Bulls in 91...the year of the fumbling and bumbling Blazers?

Which is hard to do in a league our size.

Lakers are going to sign and trade Howard to the nets for Lopez. I can almost guarantee it
