[forget Boise State- those pretenders]

We're now down to 3 meaningful undefeated teams- Alabama, LSU & Stanford. One is guaranteed to lose. Then Stanford as to get by Oregon. Oklahoma just flat rolled Kansas State and showed them up as pretenders.

For Standford, pretty much the only thing between them and the NC game is Oregon. Will we be spoilers or enablers? Looking at our defense I have serious concerns.

And I have to give props to USC. Last year, on probation, they didn't play with intensity to win. They just let their immense talent skate along. But that Standford game has radically changed my opinion of them. They certainly have my respect.

As to BSU, pffffffffffffffffffffft. If they end up being one of the two undefeated teams and play in the NC game it will be the crime of the century. But enough on that as we've beaten that subject to death already.

The real question to me is if there is only 1 unbeaten team from a BCS conference. There will be probably no less than 6 one loss teams all feeling they are deserving of that game. And maybe they are all right. That's why the BCS is a joke to me.

But, as Abe Lincoln said, "we shall see what we shall see.".

Oklahoma State needs to lose before any of this talk can matter. Boise State doesn't matter, Stanford doesn't matter, and the Ducks don't matter unless either Alabama or LSU lose, and Oklahoma State takes a fall. That's a fact.

That's if your harboring thoughts of us in the NC game- which I'm not. At the end of the day, I think a one loss Oklahoma or Oklahoma State or even possibly Alabama/LSU team plays ahead of us.

That is very possible, but there's a chance that a loss would send them far enough back that they couldn't catch us before the end of the season.

One reason why I doubt we'd see an all SEC NT game is that the only two teams that could play for the NT are in the same division. As such, one of them will not play in the SEC championship game and add to their strength of schedule.

Could be OK State and Boise St in national title game... talking about high powered offenses! That said Bama or LSU will be there, I sort of hope Boise St is put in so we can end this smurf turf garbage once and for all. Bama or LSU will kill that team!

Oklahoma's loss to Texas Tech, at home, and then TTU getting clobbered at home yesterday to Iowa State, makes it unlikely that OU can stay ahead of the Ducks as the Ducks' SOS improves.

Beating Oklahoma State would give them a boost though.

You're probably right, but beating OSU and the Big-12 title game may say otherwise.'

Unless OSU loses before that game, in which case they would drop in the rankings and OU would get less of a boost from it.

Except that there is no Big-12 title game, because they don't have 12 teams anymore.
