Molding the mold to cast the Ballast. A slurry of Bentonite and beach sand is tamped around a wooden pluck the shape the ballast and left to dry. The remaining void is then filled with sand and a floor board is screw over the mold. The whole assemble is turn over and the top board removed. The the wooden plug is removed and if all is well, the mold is ready to receive the molten lead.

I know a way to turn that lead into gold.

The mold? Dono. The Ballast will be 6600 lbs and the fins weigh about 900 lbs each so total Keel
right around 8400 pounds.
