I'm not sure why I would lock it when I've said many times in the past that I don't mind the bumping of old threads and I think it is a nice feature to have. Other sites like Oregonlive's Blazer forum delete threads and posts after a week so you have people claiming that they never said something or always knew this or that. It's stupid.

Nate hates the bumping of threads. On this subject we disagree so I guess you're right, you'll never have consistency from the mods... in this one area.

Now that it's summer and everyone took off, you can't just count on the mods to start ridiculous threads every day. You have to bring back a new old thread every day and carry your weight around here.
