Dallas is 2-12.

Dirk is averaging 10.5 points and 5.5 boards in 24 mpg. He's still shooting a decent percentage from the field, and threes. Would he do anything for this team? I personally would like to see him in there with the starters rather than Noah Vonleh. I don't know what Dirk looks like, I haven't seen a Dallas game, but it might be worth considering adding a vet with Dirk's resume. Could bring some swagger to the team, who knows. I can't imagine Dallas has any reason to play him other than to sell tickets. A low risk trade with a few of our young guys (Meyers Leonard) could entice them.

I would love Dirk on our team and he already has a relationship with Stotts but I think Dirk wants to end his career in Dallas.

Dirk doesn't want to leave Dallas, and if he did it wouldn't be to come to Portland.

If he was open to leaving Dallas Portland would definitely be an option. He has a very close relationship with Stotts.

He would leave for one thing and one thing only, a shot at another ring. Going to Portland wouldn't get him that.

So this dude is suggesting using Meyers Leonard to try to trade for Dirk Nowitzki...

I (respectfully) do not believe this has any chance at happening and we'd get laughed off the phone.

As a german i can tell you dirk NEVER leaves dallas. Never ever. He said it 1000 times in German tv that he want's to retire as a Maverick. And the mavericks will never trade him.

That certainly is a solid answer with ethnic proof added.

Ditk will retire in Dallas. He is the German on the grassy knoll. This is his last season. No thanks.

He won't leave Dallas and Cuban wouldn't ever trade him neither.

Olshey: Hey, Mark. I have a trade proposition for you. Meyers for Dirk.

Cuban: (Thump - phone dropped onto the floor) Hahahahaha! I'm sorry, Neil. I accidentally dropped the phone while laughing my ass off. You are several months early for April Fools' day. We are happy with Dirk. He brought respectability to the Mavericks when we had a shit team, he brought a championship to Dallas, and he's on a highly favorable contract. And you want to trade Meyers for him? (Another Thump) Hahahahahaha!
