Anyone got Madden 11 yet?

my thoughts so far:

- the commentary is bland
- the animation isn't as fluid as last year
- LOVE the 'gameflow' (with the option of calling your own plays) setting as its easier and the plays make more sense (and realistic)
- still hard to master the defense on all-madden
- franchise is still the same
- no Tony Bruno radio :(
- Tom Brady is severely underrated in this game
- the game somewhat lags online

I will say this hough, the CPU - pass/run ratio is a lot more realistic.
 
As much as I hate Jahvid Best, they made him super fast in the game.
 
Suh is so fucking beast in this game.

For some reason, it bothers me that they messed up some of the rookie heights and ages.
 
Suh is a beast? I think he only has one sack in 5 games for me... But the real question is how do you know Suh is a beast? Im kinda forced to play with the Lions, why would anyone take that abuse?
 
Not yet and I don't think I will be after reading this thread. Fifa needs to hurry up.
 
I've had the game for a few days, and I think it's by far the best Madden on this gen of consoles. It plays AWFUL out of the box, game is way too easy (on All Pro at least, I refuse to play All Madden since that mode cheats), so you HAVE to adjust sliders to make the game competent. I've finally gotten some solid sliders for my game, making it mostly enjoyable to play. My only real problem with the game is that it can be sometimes VERY frustrating to play defense. I consistently get people to 3rd and long, only to give it up because LBs suck at covering flats and the middle of the field.

I think it's a lot better than Madden 10. It plays more fluidly, and once you get decent sliders, it can play pretty realistically too, something I couldn't get out of Madden 10. I also happen to love Gameflow for 2 reasons. It works really well (especially once you make your custom gameplan) and it speeds the game up. A game now only takes me about 35-45 minutes, as opposed to 60-75 minutes.

That's probably one of the main reasons why I can't stick with NFL games. 45 minutes is too lengthy for me. I think I'll stick with my 6-minute halfs.

I played one game as the Lions online and got 5 sacks with him (vs. the Pats). Also, I played against them as the Vikings/Browns in franchise and he got 3 and 4 sacks the two games i've played him.

My sliders are mostly custom actually. I used a base set off Operation Sports, but I've done all sorts of tweaking to get them to work towards my liking. They work pretty well, I just need to find a way to cut the big play down in the game, because there's usually 3 or 4 50+ yard plays in a game when I play, and it's quite annoying. But if you need sliders, Operation Sports is the place to go.
 
Regressed a lot from last year, IMO.

Game is much choppier and the commentary is horrid. Gus Johnson is horrible in real life, I dunno why the hell they'd get him to do the game. His enthusiasm sounds so fake and annoying and in the game, it just comes @ random times. The advertising throughout the game is annoying, too.
 
They should make it possible to update all the rosters on Madden 10 for like 10-15 bucks online. I would rather do that than but the new one.
 
I would pay up to $20 for a roster update of Madden 10.

Have you got 11 yet, Thrilla?

I agree. That would be nice.
 
I think i'm returning this back to gamestop after a month or two. At very least, they'll give me back $40 to go towards FIFA 11 or NBA 2K11
 
Maybe I'll do the same?

Fifa 10 was amazing, right? I don't know shit about soccer, but I always loved playing the games when I was little.
 
Whats awesome about soccer is they got two amazing games for the sport. PES and FIFA make improvements every year far superior to that of 2K and Live.
