Thats right in line with my Oki Data 321 printer. Has to be 40 year old design, but still the apex in function.

No one here uses it, heh? I guess there is no claim to fame there.

Great news.

  1. Effective October 30, 2015, IBM will withdraw from marketing the IBM IMS Version 14 QPP. The IMS 14 QPP program will be withdrawn from service and support effective December 31, 2015.

I don't know what they are doing?

V15 is in, v14 to be retired

Not sure what that is? I know their iSeries OS and line of servers is deeply embedded in many organizations. It would be interesting to see how many new customers IBM is getting, because I imagine they are getting very few. But what keeps them afloat are organizations what went with them before windows (and unix to a smaller degree) took over the server market. I know the state of Oregon uses it, and I see terminals up in places such as Costco.

When big organizations have multiple core apps integrated into a system like this it's incredibly hard to transition away from it. And there's a layer of security to it because who is hacking these systems?
