Me? I'm sensing a.....a...deja vu of sorts. :)

(Kevin Duckworth) was at the center of one of the more memorable moments in team history. Before Game 7 of the 1990 Western Conference semifinal against San Antonio, he made a dramatic entrance.

Duckworth had missed the first six games of the series after breaking his right hand in a first-round matchup with Dallas. He was projected to miss the rest of the playoffs. But behind closed doors, Duckworth had been experimenting in practices with casts, wraps and splints to see if he could play.

As the teams warmed up, Duckworth waited in the locker room in order to make a big entrance.

"They wanted to maximize the shock factor and bring him out after we took the court," Terry Porter said. "I always remember him saying that was one of the best moments of his life. It was like Willis Reed, the way the crowd jumped and reacted."

Kersey called it a "surreal" moment.

"It was like everything stopped, and the only thing moving was big Duck going through the tunnel," Kersey said. "We already knew the fans loved him, but when that roar came out, it was crazy. For the rest of the team it was like, 'OK. Ready. Set. Go. Let's get this.'"

Even though Duckworth finished with only six points and five rebounds, he played good defense against Spurs star David Robinson, holding him to 3-of-12 shooting entering the fourth quarter.

"He played David well, really bodied him up," Kersey said. "But it was more of an emotional lift. We had our team back."..

Well truth be known, Brandon Roy completes LaMarcus Aldridge. I think that with Roy being back even if he isn't at 100% makes life easier for Aldridge. Hopefully this equals close games that Portland can win. Game 5 is HUGE, would love to come home with a win, all the pressure is on the Suns, with Roy back they have to adjust to him and it gives Portland another scorer on the floor, I love starting Bayless to cause Nash to have to come out and play defense. This might turn out to be one of those series in Blazers history when we look back and go "Remember when?" I think this is going to be special.

Howie brings up a good point. Without Brandon, LaMarcus isn't nearly as good as he is with him. Same with Brandon, he's not as good without LaMarcus (but he is better at being a solo than LaMarcus).

Kind of like how Gasol on his own isn't nearly as good as he is with Kobe (even if his stats are not as high as they are w/out Kobe).

But we as fans sometimes forget that.

Yes, I tremember and was at that game. I thought it was great and was Duckworth's best moment as a Blazer. The Blazer fans never really apperciated Duckworth but on that night they did and I think he really enjoyed it.

Ditto... I remember it very well. I was there and it was a magical moment.

In June of 2017 when we have just wrapped up our 4th title, somebody on here will start a thread about,"Remember back in April of 2010 when BRoy.............." Right underneath it, some bitch from the east coast will start a thread that says, "This championship is tainted cause it took us 5 games to put the Nets away!"

It's called chemistry.

It's called chemistry.

pshaw. It's called LaMarcus is a softy who should be traded!

I mean, he only had 6 rebounds last night!! HE IS A PF FOR GODS SAKE!!

wait..that was Amare who only had 6 rebounds. My bad.

I think the original quote from Kersey(?) makes a good point, and kind of sums up how I feel. I'll be dissapointed if we don't win this series, but reality is we're the lower seed. I had the hardest time stomaching that we may lose this series without giving the Suns our best shot. With Brandon in the line-up, I'm at piece with the idea that the Blazers will have three chances to win two and we'll FINALLY see if Phoenix can stop us. If the Suns win this thing now, I'll be able to look forward to next season, and not look back with a "what if"...

I was at that game, and I'm not embarrassed to say tears ran down my face. I should also note that mine weren't the only tears in my section. Words can't explain how emotional that moment was.
