Apple released IOS 5 for the iPhone today as well as Lion OSX 10.7.2 and iCloud.

There are some updates to applications, as well, that take advantage of iCloud functions.

To install IOS 5, plug in your iPhone to USB and check for updates in iTunes.

To install 10.7.2, select "software updates..." from the apple menu.

I'm getting the iphone 4s tomorrow, should be interesting.

Is this the best phone in the market? I might think about getting one.

there are some android phones that are technically better, but androids can get annoying. A lot of the software doesn't work together properly and it makes the phone lag and drains the battery.

What do you personally use Thrilla?

currently an HTC Evo, but tomorrow I will have the iphone 4s.

It doesn't work though. I've tried it and it keeps saying she's in my best friends basement!

Have had the 4 for 13 months and absolutely love it! Waiting for the 5. Probably won't come out til next August or September.

TapATalk doesn't work since I updated to OS5!!!!!

I am using tapatalk with iOS 5 for this post.

most (if not all) of apps don't work now on my ipod.

My son did this and the phone died last night. He's taking it into Best Buy in the morning. He'll have to buy a replaceent for while they fix it, maybe a 4s. Has a service contract. Same thing when he updated to IOS 4. They fixed it free then too. He thinks it's the cable to his computer. Says IOS 6 update will be wireless so the cable won't matter.

I'm considering getting one just for the good camera on it. we'll see. Probably when I'm in oregon so I can skip out on sales tax. :MARIS61:

Let us know what you think of it after using it for a bit. I'm on the fence.

I think it's similar to Mac vs pc. For the same or even less money, the pc has superior hardware specs. But the Mac has very good specs and the Mac software is amazingly great. PC software not so great.

Everything I download (mostly free) for my iPhone works great. My boss has an android and says the software is crap.

I have a very fast laptop I dual boot windows and Ubuntu linux. For the technical work I do, it screams. My MacBook pro is far more portable, far more elegant in design, the user interface and experience is light years better, and it's plenty fast enough.

I'm not getting an iphone until Swype is available.

Double tapping the home button to get to the camera quicker will come in handy. You can then use the volume up button to take a pic.
