They are 5-2, 3rd in the West. Granted, I remember an old Dunleavy coached Milwaukee team that started 13-3 and didn't even make the playoffs. I know it's early, but for those who know basketball, are they a contender to make the playoffs?

Bledsoe looks like the real deal. Perhaps the best move of the offseason (The worst going to the Nets. Great for hype, horrible in reality).

4 home games and a 1-2 road record inflates records.

I am soooo looking forward to playing them again. I think we make a statement

They're playing great team ball right now but they will fade and fade fast. They like to edge games out and in the beginning of the season that's easier to do.

Plumlee appears legit. Not the All-Star that we made him look like in Game 1, but definitely a solid candidate for Most Improved.

Most improved from what? 16 minutes last year? lol.

No, if I could get 1-10 odds on them missing the playoffs I'd put big money on it.

No, they're not "for real" (if "for real" implies that the Suns are going to be a playoff team) but Bledsoe looks great and Plumlee seems like he's playing way over his head. So maybe the Suns won't win 15 games this year and they'll win 25 to 30? Yay for them I guess.

Remember the Blazers last year?

Did you mean the Blazers in the 2011-12 season? That team started 7-2. Last years Blazers started 2-5.

I wonder how the Nik and MMs of the sun's board feels about this?! ;)

12-9 now. 8th in West while GS and Memphis are in LottoVille.

Are the Suns for real?

I still say no. Although they won't be as terrible as many of us thought I give them no realistic chance of making the playoffs.

GS and Memphis have had two major injuries to their best or second best player. Imagine us without LaMarcus or Damian, we could easily be struggling. I'll be shocked if Golden State doesn't make the playoffs.

Interesting. GS has their two best players in Curry and Thompson. They we're just fine with Iguodala last season but they can't keep up this year. Even with Iggy, they miss Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry. I will not be surprised at ALL if the Warriors miss the playoffs. Even if Phoenix falls out of it, there's still Memphis, NO, Lakers, and TWolves. The Warriors have picked the wrong season to be so-so.

They are about as real as those boobs I saw at the Acropolis.

They're for real. They will get the 7 or 8 seed most likely. They've got a nice team.

They'd be 10-11 if not for us. They're not real, because they don't play us 12 times this season.

They're 12-9 with wins over us (twice!), Denver, Houston, and the Lakers. They're for real.

I would hope that, considering how many questions of legitimacy was posed about the Blazers, that Blazer fans would be the last to pull this out.

I understand KS wasn't necessarily saying they aren't real.

They're not real yet. I want to see more games the reduce the percentage of "guaranteed wins over the blazers" down to what they'd be normally. Right now, we as an opponent are overstated in their schedule by like 4x... They're not going to get 6 more wins off of us for the rest of the season.

I think they end up 42-40, and out of the playoffs. Not real enough for me.

They are a contender... in the East. And I won't be surprised at all if they snag one of the last 2 playoff spots.

Iggy is their best all around player and significantly more improtant than Klay. Hamstrings can be a nagging injury so if it bothers him all year of course the team will suffer. Curry was one of the 4 best players in the playoffs last year, he will be great if he can avoid injury. The Lakers are a joke, Twolves have major interior defensive issues. NO has a lot of upside but hasn't been able to keep everyone healthy or get the young parts to fit so I think this probably ends up as more of a learning year for them.

The best teams in the west are the Spurs, Thunder, Clipps and Rockets. I'm hesitant to put us in that tier just yet as we haven't sustained a high level of play over an extended period of time as those other teams have. Golden State, Memphis, Denver, and Dallas are in the next tier but I would rank the Warriors at the top of that group. The Pelicans, TWolves, Suns and Lakers will need to make some big improvements to get near the playoffs, I find that highly unlikely. The Kings and the Jazz will continue to be disasters this season. The not so brilliant Kings will be near the luxury tax next season, for a horrific team having to possibly let Isiah Thomas walk as a result of the stupid Rudy Gay trade.

Its a great town for basketball and then you got UA and its program.
