Shabazz playing pretty well and our team as a team play very hard. Everybody scores and everybody was involved. I think Lillard is not 100% because he's trick shots and miss a lot of open 3s. He's #FG% are trash right now. I don't know, I really joke in wrong, but it's gonna be a very tough game against the wolves, and since Dame's back is gonna 3 in a row...

He's much more than that man. He didn't have a rythym from 3 but still had many good drives and defensive plays while making the right passes.

It's like all you guys base his game of his 3pt shooting, and then if that's not good, it's the cause for our loss. It's ridiculous.

Yeah, Bazz is a good NBA PG, and should be traded like such.
 
It may not be Dame's fault, but at some point, the team has to ask why they win at a higher rate when he's out? There's nothing in Dame's game or personality that would answer it. It might be match-ups, or it might be teammates elevates their efforts in his absence. But if it's the latter, why isn't he commanding that effort when he's out there? None of it really adds up, but it's a consistent enough pattern, it has to be looked into no matter how much you hate the idea of it.

Who'd we beat in his absence? ATL, CHI, and LAL, all awful teams.

And then we beat a SAS team without 3 starters and their 6th man by 1, at home.

And then we beat an OKC which turned in an awful effort and will lose to anyone some nights.

The team isn't better than him out, at all. With he way the rest of our team played against HOU and NOP, we would've lost by more.

Correlation doesn't equal causality.

But for some reason, people like Pat, Zach, and Mo played better when Dame was out. Their production has gone way down since Dame came back. Not saying we should trade Dame but the bench guys have to play just as hard when Dame is in the lineup.

A lot of people need to learn this.

Pat played mostly when Dame was sitting, so what does Dame have to do with Pat airballing a 3, almost airballing another, and shooting one off the side of the backboard?

Collins didnt play any worse than he normally does, and was always gonna struggle against Davis/Cousins.

Harkless had a stretch without Dame where he was awful too. He's inconsistent as fuck, and his good games just so happened to come when Lillard was out (he also gets more minutes when Dames out which makes those rare good games more likely).

We're not a 5-seed caliber team rn. We're 2 games above .500 with an easy schedule. We're basically a .500 team. Would a firewall result in us being better than a. 500 team in 5 years? Probably.

You are emotional about simple question. Are players better without him?
Is Harkless better when Lillard is out. Yes, he is. For whatever reason.

Can you spot chemistry difference with/without Lillard?
Is ball movement different? It was something that was really bad this season.

And I'm not saying "trade Lillard". But something is terribly wrong with our team so everyone and everything has to be on the checklist. It's simple.

Then it's up to those guys to play UP to Dame. He shouldn't have to carry this fucking team over and over and over again. They need to start pulling their fucking weight, and if they can't do that, then hit the bricks.

This guy is a top 5 PG in this league when he's healthy. And considering that he's rarely been hurt thus far in his career, I'd say we've been pretty lucky. This idea that we're somehow better of without him is the biggest bunch of bullshit I've read in a while. No offense, @BrunoSOC. We're a 30 win team without him.

Our entire team plays better when he is banging on all cylinders. Obviously, an off night is going to throw everyone into disarray. That happens. But we are STILL a better team when he is playing like shit.
 
I'm starting to want to see Lillard traded for picks so people on this board can see just how bad portland is without him.
Unfortunately if this were to happen.
Certain posters would stop visiting this board, or never admit they were wrong about this roster being better without Lillard.
 
We traded the wrong player to Brooklyn.
 
I really love dame and i hope he have his breakout perfomance just to shut up my mouth but that sad thing is this can actually true, he need's to controll his shoot selection he shoots 11 3pointers what he was thinking.

Probably something to the effect of:
"I'm one of the greatest 3pt shooters alive right now, I'm getting open looks, me getting open 3pt looks on a bad day is still better than anyone on the team getting a contested one on a good day, so...yeah, I'm gonna shoot when open."

unfortunately he is not that great a 3 pt shooter, career avg of 36.8% and a subpar 34.8% this season. Entire league avg this yr is 36.3%, he IMO needs to be more selective and up that percentage
